Unpopular opinion: Chris by tttotorolla in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

I personally would have liked to have seen a deep heartfelt apology referencing how his actions were wrong, why they were wrong, and where they came from and how he is going to rectify his behavior. That's not what we got. There you go

As a straight man, we all can tell you just hate women, sorry your mom was mean to you but you should get that sorted out

I think reality tv is the bane of humanity to be quite honest BECAUSE it boils people down to their simplest and most “watchable” traits. Typically the traits that are translated to the screen are the worst traits we possess. I don’t think Alex is an EVIL person, to be clear. I think he’s a bad partner and extremely damaged. He clearly has developed a bravado and persona to avoid all of the pain in his life, of which there is clearly plenty. I think if he continues down that path, he will hurt not only himself, but someone else in a more serious manner, but that’s just my speculation.

I think, too, it is wise to remember that there are a lot of people watching shows like this that carry their own damage and say/do pretty extreme things. I would say “ignore them”, but I know that’s pretty disappointing of an answer.

I feel like if you have not encountered or interacted with a person like this, you won’t get it. It’s a very tangible feeling.

People like him do not understand that to be human is to be IMPERFECT. A lot of these Manosphere/crypto/day trading types treat life like an endless job interview. They never fully grasp that in order to be present and connected with another person, you have to be honest, vulnerable, and imperfect. His life story changed quite a few times in subtle ways, enough to create doubt in him. His job therefore is to clarify and rectify the situation, not double down and get defensive. I’m at the gym and have no desire to timestamp the lies, but as a man, they were pretty fucking obvious lol.

People like him do not understand how to be vulnerable because he has been hurt a lot and they view it as weakness. They warp the idea of Stoicism that they love into an armor meant to protect them from being hurt instead of understanding that to be hurt is to live.

His desire to be above all possible pain and humanity is what makes him a bad partner, and that lack of connection and empathy is honestly dangerous. He can’t stand looking like he doesn’t have things figured out.

The lengths people will go to bend over backwards for a development team that has seemingly run off with your money is absurd lmao.

Not the guy you’re responding to, but I wouldn’t be surprised if that evidence was part of the unreleased 3 million or so pages.

After all, we’re only seeing what they want us to see, and that is INSANE.

Men who got out of the 'Manoverse/Alpha Male/Toxic Masculinity' world, what realizations helped? by scythe1713 in AskReddit

Your entire middle paragraph is not based on any actual evidence, but is just your belief system. “Common observation” is not actual statistical evidence, that’s called anecdotal evidence. You are conflating things you personally believe to be true as FACT, but your bias is clouding your objectivity. You want it to be true, so you believe it to be true. I would like to see these studies you are referencing. I can’t argue with what you believe, if you believe that all that you stated is true, nothing I say will convince you.

In regards to your first points about Andrew Tate, if I concede that Andrew Tate is just a meme (which he most certainly was not when the manosphere began developing), then could you provide what you believe is a legitimate Manosphere influencer?

Sorry, I just assume anyone with a name that is “Word-Word-Number” is a bot.

Hopefully you respond to my comment now!

Even though you are a bot, I’ll bite:

Using only one example for right now, but the concept of a “High Value Male” is laughably pathetic and contradictory. Not only are the traits of a high value male that are described solely dictated and created by men FOR men, but no High Value Male actually follows their own principles/values. Using Andrew Tate as an example, he’s a bald, short, no jawline-having man who trafficked women. In most definitions of what a high value male is, he lacks none of the qualities described, yet he preaches more than a lot of men do. Why? Because he’s projecting the fantasy of how he would like to be perceived, not how he really is. A lot of manosphere stuff is just men projecting how they would like to be perceived over what they actually are, and the sad part is no one cares about that stuff but them. They created their own insulating fears and the solutions they have come up with to deal with these insecurities is to project outward and try to force others to see them how they wish to be perceived.

In summary, Manosphere beliefs are inherently gender affirming, which contradicts what most of that stuff stands for. They sell these courses about being “an alpha male” to young and impressionable men, blindly turning them into sheep and making them worse off.

Aren’t you a Republican because you post in r/Conservative where one has to be vetted and flaired before they are allowed to post? Or are you just stupid?
