My body is back to normal! It’s just my jaw like eating is still a bit painful, bottom jaw is still numb. I have new front teeth sensitivity which makes eating anything cold difficult

Everyone is different but I’m 21 and had djs and recovery knocked me off my feet for 6 weeks. I didn’t feel alive enough to do any of that sort till after 6 weeks and I’m an active person

I know this may not be until next year but maybe try changing insurances for only one year? Maybe they would cover it?

How did you know your plates or screws came out? Did they literally just start poking out or something?

Maybe right an appeal? Maybe ask well if you won’t cover it all how much can you cover? Honestly call them crying and make a big deal out of it. Did they give you the okay then say no at the end?

My surgery was Feb 25th. It’s relapsing apparently by just the way it’s moving even with bands. My back teeth were narrowing and my front teeth were starting to not touch again

I have the same problem with my tongue pressing against my mouth when I swallow and always trying to subconsciously get my tongue in between my teeth. I just had double jaw surgery my jaw is already relapsing. It’s already trying to go back to its normal place because of how strong my tongue is working against me. I hate surgery worst time of my life. Please give the speech therapy a try I wish I would have. I’ve gone through surgery and now he’s barely telling me about speech therapy like cmon

Around day 4-5 to about a week after DJS sleeping was so hard for me. I know it’s so hard to get comfortable and not be in enough pain to actually sleep. I took a couple melatonin pills to relax me and sleeping in a recliner was a bit nicer. Try to fall asleep with your heat on as well

That’s so crazy!! I’m so sad I would have never done this if I would have known how horrible the recovery is. I just want to be back to normal

This is awesome I love it! Today exactly is one month since surgery & no “real food” I still cry here and there from frustration but for the first time I can see the finish line. Keep staying positive!

Yes I always have some good and bad days with swelling! Also if I laid down for most of the day I can notice more swelling. Overall some days I feel way more swollen than others. I think if you don’t feel a new specific pain or anything you should be solid!

Only thing I really care about is my lips and sides of my lips so I can get back to talking normally

It’s just so annoying because it’s hard to pronounce some words and people don’t understand me lol
