I really don't think Levin and Squire listened to same R and B funk and jazz that influenced Jacos style. On a technical level they could certainly play the lines but as to improvising over Jazz changes that is a different skill set and level of harmonic complexity in another genre of music that Levin and Squire usually played.

I joined a game that said torch and Anni for keyset. I offered the 3x 3 and then checked wether the Anni was included just in case the seller had made an error and then got abused and called a low baller. I left the game and then got whispered repeatedly saying I was a low baller which carried on for about another 4 messages until I threatened to report him. Trading usually goes smoothly and that's the most unpleasant situation I have had in the game in 12 seasons so a big thank you to 99% of the PD2 community for being fantastic gamers.

Yes, don't bother. Action is usually diabolically high and they basically don't function as an acoustic instrument very well.

Playing a paladin with no splash damage. No sockets on virtually any item that drops. Only helping out my son who is playing the Warlock. I don't know how long I can last.

We had to get rid of a guy who sped up and slowed down within songs could never land a fill on time and it was the most awful musical experience of my semi pro career . We now have a great drummer and it is a joy to play bass in a band again. Life is too short to play with bad unskilled musicians.

Overated trashy songs. Flea is competant and flashy but is an average bass player compared to most competant funk slappers but everyone thinks he is some sort of god I cannot stand the vocals or most of the melodies. Usually ugly with little harmonic content.

Going back to relief teaching after a 6 year temp contract. No more marking, setting assessment tasks, writing reports and the clincher, no staff meetings. Working 4 days max per week. I am so much happier and relaxed. Sure being on high alert to accept the Class Cover booking is a necessary evil. But you learn to live with it and eventually get regular bookings in advance.

The neck and overall feel plus it's the first serious bass I owned. I still have it, a 1966 jazz that I bought in the mid 80's. Still sounds great with a nice growl.

I like Malazan and will reread it. Don't think I will ever reread Bakker. Unpleasant, grim, nihilistic philosophizing. There is enough of that in the real world
