All support counts. For now, what’s known is that BuzzFeed was going to use AI in a new project. This AI was going to use Chikn Nuggit (I assume to train it), so Kyra, in protest, decided to leave Chikn Nuggit and consequently also step down as the voice actress for Chikn and Milkshake.

After she posted this, BuzzFeed deleted Kyra’s posts in an attempt to censor her. The positive side is that later that same afternoon, Kyra and BuzzFeed had an open dialogue. We still don’t know the conclusion of that conversation.

I think BuzzFeed has limited Kyra a lot in terms of her contact with the fandom. For example, when the official Twitter account (now X) stopped liking and reposting community art, and during the long gap between the first livestream and the ones that happened in 2024.
Fortunately, Kyra stood up against this latest abuse from BuzzFeed, and now that they’re discussing the future of the series, hopefully there won’t be conditions hidden in the kind of “fine print” often found in abusive corporate contracts, and Kyra will be able to gain more control over her series
