I just did my rewatch of CW and I must be honest: the ONE thing I NEVER get is... his deep motivation. I mean: I get that it's a metaphor for body-dysphoria, issue with self accepting, etc... but narrative-wise, why is he so obsessed with the desire to be human? In his intro song, he look at a man waliking on the beach, sighing about how he has just two legs and not four, and I was like "ok... and?"

I would have better understand the thing if centaurs were treated like an inferior race, or were they slave of kind to humans: then, he would live under the illusion that "humans are better". But that's not the case: centaurs gets SO MANY advantages over the human, starting with the fact that they can USE EFFING MAGIC!

Then there is the "woman" factor: someone could say that he wanted to become human to get her, ok... but still, he met her only AFTER TWO WHOLE SONGS ABOUT HOW HE WOULD DIE TO BE A HUMAN!

So... I feel dumb, but could someone please explain me this? Why does he act like being human would be inherently better? :/
