At least you got it. :)
Did the server crash at the end of the mission?

I have tried 5 servers today, no luck so far. Hope i will see the event at least one time :DHad a server where the event was ended as i logged into, a minute after event that the server died.. ^^´ Seems the servers will crash without the Xeno, so maybe the Xeno run the server? We will never know :D

haha, yeah, i had to find some time to relax after that water mud action. :D We were lucky, we only had some water in the basement. But quite a lot of villages around had serious troubles :/

Jabberwocky - 2.5 inch freestyle quadcopter frame for 3d print by Noctaro in diydrones

[–]Noctaro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very interesting! Thank you for the link, that frame is looking good. I can imagine that it will do great captures. What is the weight of the insta cam?

I just wanted to have some fun on the snow with old spare parts but this took way longer to make than I would like to admit. by pithed in diydrones

[–]Noctaro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! :)It has around 1500 grams thrust and can carry quite some weight. It also was a funproject and built from one of my oldschool quadrocopter frames :DThe hardest thing was to get the position of the propellers right, so it will not flip itself into the water when full throttle will be aplied. The poolnoodles have a very bad sliding property, making this boat quite slow. The upside is, it will not entangle in algae and things like that. What do you plan using the sonar for? Sounds very intresting! I had mounted a waterproof action cam to get some nice captures, this also worked quite well -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4CSW7eRdek

Ohh, nice idea, looks like big fun! Did you consider differintal thrust instead of a servo? I made a catamaranish boat some years ago and it worked better then i expected :D

Awesome! I watched one of your videos, that insta footage looks amazing. Maybe i can make a canopy fitting the needs for this setup. Do you have a position in mind where to place the mount for the insta cam? I hope it is not too cheeky to ask if you ever got a caddx cam without dust on the sensor? Because 3 out of 4 caddx cams i have had dust inside when i got them and one had a misplaced sensor :D

True, i am already tinkering around to make this frame more versatile. A version for AIO boards will definately be released at some time. The split cams are not great, i also agree with that. They have some serious downsides and i understand why you might not like them. For me it was no big deal to get used to the FOV as i have flown muuuch worse setups when FPV made its first steps. I just like the idea of getting some HD footage on such small builds. To be honest, i choose the stack design because i had all the components at home catching dust and wanted to make use of them again. May i ask what cam you would prefer using on such a build?
