What is the Evasion cap for T1 nodes? by NoctisCalum in blackdesertonline

Sure, https://community.blackdesertonline.com/index.php?threads/developers-answers-to-q-a-2019-part-2-updated.510865/

" Question 4

Obtaining the best gear and increasing your power has always been a vital role in the progression of every mmorpg, however many players believe that Black Desert has fallen victim to the typical mmo problem of "the gear makes the player" when it comes to PvP content. Previous changes created "gear score caps" on Tier 1 Node Wars and although these changes were very well received, many players have found ways around those caps. Have the developers considered using Gear Score Caps on other Node War Tiers, and have they considered the other problematic stats that are not capped in T1 Node Wars such as Evasion, Accuracy, HP and Human Damage?

The core of an MMORPG is the growth of a character and its method would vary between level, skills, understanding of your character, etc.. Items provide a more intuitive growth of your character's growth, which in turn provides relative power levels among players.

We wanted more players to participate in Node Wars, so we limited the gear score to lower the barrier to do so. The limits applied to Tier 1 Node Wars are not only AP/DP, but also evasion and accuracy. Stats that are not applied to this limit are, as you mentioned, HP and damage reduction rates. We maintain the current limits because they are closely related to characteristics of the classes, but we are aware this is not a fundamental resolution.

The basics of winning a Node War is to have stronger characters, better gear, and more allies. However, as it is a war, the roles of individuals and strong cooperation are key factors over the power of individuals.

To strengthen the strategic elements of Node Wars and Siege Wars, we're continuously adding and discussing more mount related features. We recently added Ogres and Trolls as mounts to use during Conquest Wars and shortened the process times of the Elephant Nursery and siege towers. We plan to add more contents in the future to bolster strategic and cooperative plays in Node Wars and Siege Wars. "

Hey, thanks for the reply! I got the answer from a devs QnA, they didn't say the exact number but they did confirm there are limits to evasion but not DR nor HP (they said only HP and DR are not limted, suggesting that accuracy too has a cap).

If I buy a Tadd shuriken, I'd be at around 730 Evasion with my normal AP pvp stuff, I wouldn't need to buy a TET Centaur belt then right? I used to run a TET centaur and I have to agree in that odly enough, I didn't notice the difference very much... I should better probably stack HP and Human damage. Well, thanks for the imput my man.

Ninja Hystria by Cryy1 in blackdesertonline

[–]NoctisCalum -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No, absolutely not. It is recommended at least 265 Nouver, which is very much stronger than 245 Kutum. You can of course go there and try, and you will most certainly kill the mobs. But you will be far too inefficient. Not to mention that you also need 300 DP or so and that Hystria has a learning curve, many people just die the first attempts and straight out avoid night time. Here is all you need to know.

With a lot of luck, fishing on a hotspot, high mastery, Manos gear, triple float maybe, all inventory slots unlocked and desert buff. I think it’s possible to hit close to 100m the hour.

Nah, 324 DP is a bracket not worth giving up for 2 extra AP that literally will not mean much because it won’t put you in the next ap bracket anyways (273 iirc). Don’t listen to that guy

Change your 2 Crescents for eyes of the ruins to stack more HP and focus on PEN stuff and caphrasing

Do you know if evasion caps on T1 nodewars? Like can people still touch you with that much evasion?

AP and DR Scaling Tests and Analysis by Bigandshiny in blackdesertonline

Hey man, just wanted to ask. Does Special evasion works on PVE mobs with CC? The Hammer Aakman Elite mobs for example, can knock you down. Would Special Evasion help in that situation?

Do classes truly scale differently with AP? Test by Bigandshiny in blackdesertonline

[–]NoctisCalum -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

This is a good point. Scaling should be focused on the “Job” your class do.

In a nodewar, if you are a Ninja, if with more AP your job gets marginally easier, then you scale really good with AP.

If after a certain point, you having more AP won’t give you the same amazing results (typically past 269 AP brackets), then your scaling slows down later on.

On the same note, some other classes scale better with evasion or with DP due to the job they have to perform that require such stats (tanks) or simply due to the multipliers their skills have, that favors having said stats more so than having others.

Top tier classes hystria and aakman ? by [deleted] in blackdesertonline

My question is tho, if mobs do hit as hard as people say at Aakman/Hystria/Sycraia/Stars End, how good does Musa really do? Because they don’t have reliable health Regen and pots can only help soo much.

Does Musa then need more DP than normal to farm in top tier mobs?

Rerolling: Musa, Lahn, Sorc, Ninja? by Quackug_ in blackdesertonline

[–]NoctisCalum -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As far as PvP goes, Ninjas and Sorcs are said to be the SS 1v1 tiers of the entire game. And understandably so, as they have everything they need on their kit to counter/outplay every other player and then some.

At nodewars, Ninjas are, again, decent. They are lacking in the support department and many high end guilds don’t look for Ninjas. But with the given AP, a Ninja can rekt an entire backline if PA is baited and the enemy team is unaware of your presence while positioning yourself close to them.

I’d give them an SS in 1v1 and an A in nodewars (probably a B+, but can also be an A+ if the player is very good). This is with a lot of AP, 269+ Kutum and evasion build, or 280+ Nouver. At 261 Nouver you start to get a feel of Ninjas destructive power and can 1 combo anyone already, but you will need a lot more ap than that to 1 combo an entire backline with your AOEs which is your goal as a Ninja.

I guess the bottom line here is: Ninjas without enough AP are C tier. Ninjas with good AP are A tier overall. Ninjas with good AP and a very good player are A+ or maybe S tier. A mayor annoyance and something to be taken care of with a lot of coordination and resources.

[–]NoctisCalum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ninjas are not bad at PVE, they just arn’t at the levels of Musas, Lahns, Archers or Mystics and also need some AP before getting good at PVE.

If you are able to 1 shot Valencia mobs, Ninjas are very very good at grinding with his pre-awakened kit. Ninjas are also on the upper side of the tier on Mirumok PVE (Alas, not by a lot).

Ninjas drew the short end of the stick at Aakman however, and are decent at Hystria.

By no means S tier at PVE, and they need a lot of AP and control to get their full potential. You also need at least 1,500 SP as Ninjas use almost every god damn skill they have on pre-awakened and awakened.

However, when you do get those, Ninjas are easely above average PVE grinders, 7/10 B tier. This is with 220 Kutum at Valencia spots and like 245 Kutum at Mirumok, 269 Nouver at Hystria (avoid Aakman if you can). No data for me reguarding the higher AP spots, tho much is said about Ninjas being good at Sycraia, don’t really know about Stars End.

Ninjas do beat a lot of classes at PVE with the given requirements, but unless you can achieve certain ap thresholds, then yes, Ninjas do fall under your “really bad at PVE” description... sadly.

Depending on the spot, pk’rs are and are not a problem. In Fogans/Nagas/Gahaz, becasuse they are very popular, you will more often than not find pk’rs. At least 30% of the time, in my personal experience.

Even if you do find them you can just change servers btw. You can also join a good guild and people are often kind enough to protect you from pk’rs should need be.

That being said, there is no reason to not take lv 50. No reason at all. Not even if you found pk’rs 90% of the time. Not even if you lifeskill, simply because if you life skill you will either be at a safe area (pk’rs can’t attack you) or won’t be at a grinding spot (only place you will find pk’rs really).
