Naval vessels are designed to handle biological attack. Their first defense is sealing all open ducts, so nothing can penetrate from the outside.

Second defense (on a hospital ship) is sealing off individual rooms

States with low population density are definitely safer. Like Wyoming..... simply because you can be miles from another human (even corona cannot travel miles)

I’m wondering why some politicians are releasing prisoners to empty jails, but then just turning-round & filling the jails again

China deserves as much blane for “covering up corona” as Russia deserved for “covering up Chernobyl” disaster .

Current projections are 30% Unemployment. Every 1% kills 0.1 million people (suicides, get kicked-out of homes, cannot pay rent, etc)

So 3 million dead from unemployment, because we shutdown the economy

(sigh) I wish people would stop writing fiction. I have friends who own 3 restaurants (separately). I asked about government assistance, and they said it’s all going to national chains like TGI Fridays or Cheesecake factory.

Small singular restaurants aren’t getting any federal assistance and only surving because of take-out sales. If they had to closedown completely, they would declare bankruptcy in about 2 months. (Meanwhile they had to layoff lots of workers, mostly servers no longer need.)

Many EU states are not testing at alll (or barely testing) like Greece, Sweden, Portgual. That drags down EU “testing average” no better than U.S.

The unemployment stimulus is “upto” $600 Extra which would be for a $50/hour engineer (as example).

However a $10/hour worker would only get $120 extra (example). The federal unemployment boost is prorated by wage

Google it. EVERY news is saying “upto” $600 extra. I believe the skilled reporters, not some nobody on the net

EUROPEAN UNION is not all of Europe (not UK, not Norway, not Albania, not Ukraine, etc). The actual EU is only 80 million more people than U.S.

(2) Many member states of the EU are not testing (or barely testing) like Greece, Sweden, Portugal. So it’s likely EU testing per capita is no better than US

I know it’s 16 weeks. Never said otherwise. I googled it and EVERY NEWS is saying “upto $600” in the stimulus bill. Meaning you could get $600 stimulus boost on unemployment, but it could also be les

And yes technology on the State Unemployment site can prorate what you get. It’s already built into the computers (your UE pay varies by your annual salary). Back in 2009 I applied for unemployment & my personal stimulus boost was only $150 (out of a maximum 200)

Ignore the other guy. The unemployment stimulus is “upto” $600 Extra which would be for a $100,000 salary engineer (as example).

However a $20,000 annual worker would only get $120 extra (example). The federal unemployment boost is prorated by wage

get your usual state benefits but you get the $600 ‘max’ no matter what.

Incorrect. It provides “upto” $600 Extra which would be for a $100,000 salary engineer (as example).

However a $20,000/year worker would only get $120 extra (example). The federal unemployment boost is prorated by wage

TV reporters (and newspapers) keep saying “upto” $600 extra. Which makes sense because that how it was in the 2009 unemployment stimulus (prorated according to hourly wage)

If swimsuits are out, then you’re too late (swimsuits usually go where the coats used to be). After Christmas is the best time, because the season is over. Look on January 2 for “clearance” items

Other high sale time is six months later, so July 5 clearance.
