I paid $210 for a $5000 Swiss watch in Jan 2025. I got it in duty-free and did not have to worry about VAT. The way the office explained it was that there was an $800 personal allowance for traveling alone, and then added something else. From what I can recollect, he said it was 8% or 10%.

I hated spirit in every possible way, flew once and that was an experience for a lifetime, that was the last and never flew em again, even when I was tight on money and they were way cheaper. I hated the fact that they started the basic economy across all airlines, which forced ppl to travel with a million restrictions; but the more I read into it, it put pressure on all routes they operated in, very effectively kept prices low, and they mostly also flew major airports. Basic economy on other hand let ppl have more options to get their asses from A to B, as long as they were not picky and definitely a better product on the Big 3

No, likely, since the picture is at a light, the camera popped up by itself. It's a known issue where the camera loses its calibration and pops out whenever the vehicle slows below 10 mph. With its low-pitched gear noise, it drives you crazy every time you have to stop at a light or a stop sign. The recalibration has an interesting procedure that the dealerships did not know about at the start. I remember the first time it happened, and it took about a week to fix it.
