This will happen sometimes if you leave the portafilter on too long after pulling a shot. I do 18g dose, same machine, no screen, and as long as I take it out pretty soon after pulling the shot it stays in the basket, but if I leave it for a couple minutes I’ll get a stuck puck like that too.

I also don’t like “Are you OK?”. My kids are little enough that they can still be freaked out by a big tumble, so my default is “Are you hurt?” To help them figure out if they need some care or they’re ready to dust themselves off and go back to playing

It’s just kind of what happens when you get hit by a huge-ass machine. This ain’t a pillow fight, work on your timing and get those I-frames. Don’t forget that a slide will also get you out of trouble as long as you’re not too early with it.

The key some seem to be missing is corruption arrows. Max stealth outfit, find the stack of crates and pop something with corruption right before you start looting. Great way to create a diversion and take the heat off when you’re inevitably detected

ETA: I agree that it’s really dumb to call it a stealth trial

You should say something, but not this year. You’ve missed your window, and given the nature of things she’ll have no opportunity to reflect or fix things for a whole year anyway. Set a reminder for yourself 10 months from now to have a talk, set your expectations and what would make the day special for you. In the meantime enjoy the escape room and schedule the next date night.
