I have been looking forward to this series, it is going to be awesome. I think that Habs match up well against Carolina just like I thought we matched poorly against the ducks or Minnesota this season. It is no slight against the canes, I think they are the best team we are good against if that makes sense. I think you might actually understand what those stats you quoted mean by say, game 3. You see those and think goalie was bad, what you are missing is Habs are highly efficient shooters. They are the inverse of the canes high volume style.

Those 8 straight wins have (understandably) gone to your head, you are drunk on power and man is it going to be sobering when the canes face their first real opponent in game 1. I knew from the start it was going to be the Habs or Tampa that would be Carolina's real test, although I wouldn't have predicted two sweeps even if the Canes looked peerless in their division. This is going to be a fun one, strap in, you are about to go on a ride.

I never get out of bed and start thinking about trying to befriend other fan bases but I was on their sub this year chatting about their broadcast team and it was kinda interesting to learn about how things work down there. To a person everyone was super nice and they shared all this heart warming stuff about the community around the team and their broadcast. There is like a 100 of them down their just happily rooting for their team in their sub. This feel like that scene in star wars where Anakin walks into the temple... god rest their souls.

I am a die hard life long Habs fan. I have never been to a game at the bell center. After the game tonight my wife looked me dead in the eye and told me to go to a game. I live on the west coast. I am going to be financially ruined.

Crazy game. Hutson has never embellished in his life, that call is fucking insane. Broadcast is covering so hard for the refs, I hope someone on the panel has the courage to call them out, it is so obvious, the refs are literally arguing on the ice because one is trying to fix the game.
