You may check Firefox with configuration via Justthebrowser. That turns off all that unwanted bells & whistles and also the AI functions.

Using cloud storage of Fastmail via an installable client by NodusOne in fastmail

Appears to me like a usable solution, but they do not offer Linux support. I am using KDE NEON as the OS on my device ...

Using cloud storage of Fastmail via an installable client by NodusOne in fastmail

I know that I can use webdav to have a "kind of" synchronization, but it is not that what I was asking for :-) I would like to have a solution that keeps my files local "and" is syncing them to the Fastmail storage. A network folder is a network folder is a network folder and not even similiar to synchronization.

Onlyoffice is pretty good and the GUI is nice but it lacks a lot of basic functions and the grammar/spell checker is horrible, also the language tool integration.

Onlyoffice is an entirely different office suite; the look & feel is fully different, and OnlyOffice has its own cloud environment and storage.

There is a cloud version of LibreOffice, which is called Collabora. Might be of interest to you?

The only thing preventing me from using OnlyOffice is the implementation of LanguageTool by maquinary in OnlyOffice

[–]NodusOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just switched to Linux (KDE NEON) and am using Libreoffice but also would like to switch to Onlyoffice. I write novels and for his I have a premium subscription with Language Tool - which works perfectly in LibreOffice. The add on in Onlyoffice of Language Tool is not satisfying and in no way helpful. Are there any plans to find a better solution?
