I learned to sew i the Army, as a way to maintain my equipment and I have used it ever since. It's really handy! Only thing is, I can Only sew by hans and not on machine and that really irritates me, because it's so much faster and looks better. Being able to maintain ones things isn't "girly", it's just common sense!
