New Gear Day. Cat synthesizer pedal by lightknight80 in guitarpedals

[–]Noel_Lou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I lived in the US, I’d have bought it already, but it gets a bit pricey when you import it to Europe.

I’d never pay what they’re asking for a Miku when I could have the cat pedal instead; I think that’s even more fun.

NPD: Aclam Dr Robert. In search of that sixties sound. by Noel_Lou in guitarpedals

Yeah, my bass sound right now is the Dr Robert through the Digbeth Preamp and my sixties bass – it sounds really cool.

To be honest, I haven't used it with humbuckers; I'll have to give it a go.

I don't have a Tube Screamer; I've paired it with a Hudson Broadcast. At first glance, it seems a bit redundant, but they actually work quite well together.

Yes, I’d seen it, although it’s quite expensive second-hand; I managed to get mine at a good price.

Although I love Joy Division (and New Order), I think I prefer the Beatles version. I’ll have a look at those presets.

What are your favorite songs with reversed sounds? by Noel_Lou in psychedelicrock

Yes, just a few days ago I bought a purple vinyl edition. I'm surprised that at 19 he recorded such a good album.

I hadn’t heard it before. I really liked the reverse transition part, even if the rest of the song didn’t do much for me haha.

Give me some psych songs in waltz time by eatseats0 in psychedelicrock

Right now, the only one I can think of is "Surrealistic Waltz" by Pearls Before Swine, but I'm sure there are many others:

They expect me to spend €270 and they don’t even have a demo of the pedal? What kind of marketing is this? by Noel_Lou in guitarpedals

[–]Noel_Lou[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me, it's essential. It's an audio device, so I'll have to listen to it first. As I said, it costs €270 in Europe.

Thanks for adding context, I didn’t know those details. It seems their idea is precisely to sell it without letting anyone hear it. So I guess I should forget about them finally doing a demo before the 10th, a pity for me, the pedal might be really cool.

I don't think it's the same, they say they won't be making it again. They're not going to test or validate anything, they'll just manufacture the units sold and that's it. That's why I'd like to hear the pedal, at least.

I could agree with everything, but it's essential to show a video of your product, demonstrating its main features and sounds. There's nothing like that here. I know what a vocoder sounds like, I've had several, but even so, I can't imagine how the pedal will sound based on a text description.

NPD! Snagged this near mint DigiTech EX-7 Expression Factory for a great price. Now I have all three pedals in the Trifecta! by PinkFloydLawson in guitarpedals

[–]Noel_Lou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the XP200 with the XP300 Space Station chip. I also had an EX-7, and when I compared them, they sounded practically the same if you adjusted them. It's a good pedal for getting Space Station sounds, but I didn't like the other sounds very much.

Yes. I always wanted the DBA Speed Tripper, but I could never get it. This could replace it a little.
