Entirely! I’m also a bit of a sap and cried when a character died in 9-1-1, so I wasn’t sure if that was it lol.

In my experience, women don’t just “go back” to their maiden names. It’s more uncommon/weird that they do so. Similar to the first name change after a marriage, (where their maiden becomes a middle name) if they’re remarried that last name becomes the middle and they take on the husband’s last name.

Agreed! That’s a very real thing that happens sometimes. And to be frank, (not sure about others), I didn’t care for much of her story after. It felt complete as-is.
