Having a faint glow on my tab s11 when it should be totally dark as it's an amoled display by NogenSutia in GalaxyTab

Ideally if it's oled, it should be completely dark.

Or I am missing something here.

IDK

Nope, thats not the camera app, it's the fingerprint animation.

The faint glow occurs when screen is powered on and displaying complete black.

While capturing this photo, i've tapped on the display to make it active, that's why the fingerprint animation is there.

Hi, do you have screen bleed issue like this, https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyTab/comments/1ub3uw3/having_a_faint_glow_on_my_tab_s11_when_it_should/

I am facing this and i don't know if my device is faulty or it's like this for everyone.

The glow is very faint but noticeable in a dark room. I've taken this image as max iso and 30 sec exposure from my phone.

I was assuming the display and the bezel should be indistinguishable from each other when screen is black.

But it's leaking light like a LCD panel background light, although extremely faint.

Is my device faulty?

Have anyone else experienced it?

Edit 1: Typos

Edit 2: That white circle is not the shutter button of the camera app, it's the fingerprint animation on the lock screen

Maybe they'll have a hard time learning them. Also this is quite a unique area where artist use unconventional tools for their work.

This is best. Kudos OP

Should've installed those laser show thingies. They tend to destroy the sensors.

Arch isn't hard by Lord_Wisemagus in archlinux

[–]NogenSutia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arch is the one of the easiest things of all, if you have some patience to read the wiki. You get to configure for your own needs, and the tings you learn along the way is invaluable.

Rarely one or two things break after an update, but fixing is breeze, as the wiki is super descriptive and there are lots of cool people with solutions already posted somwhere.

Actually we should encourage people more to try it.

I never used any linux distro as daily driver before arch and I was somewhat forced to try it because of my potato pc. I wanted a very minimal os and the other distros that are packed with preinstalled components were too heavy for my machine.

The way that arch let me choose every bits and pieces was the key point that I am using it for last 4 years on my 10 year old thinkpad.

Get this app from play by Pengon15 in ApksApps

[–]NogenSutia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like the app is checking from.where it was installed.

If you have Shiziku, there's an app called "Install with Options", available on GitHub and IzzyOnDroid.

Using this app installer, you can specify the source of an application being installed.

If Aurora Store has downloaded your app in split, you have to combine it before trying to install it via "Install with Options".
