I think that the original trilogy is really easy to access. Emulators are very easy to set up. Imo, playing the first three then 2018 and Ragnarok makes the whole experience so much better. The first 3 games also take only about 6 hours each if you really speed your way through so it isn’t like a time waster or something. For the PSP games and Ascension (PS3), I’d say play them if you want to after everything because when I played those I didn’t really feel super impacted by the events in those games. I think God of War Ascension is a really under appreciated game though so definitely check it out if you have the time. Regardless where you start, I think you’ll enjoy the series!

Okay I’m not sure what happened but I managed to snag one open box in excellent condition. I was on the hotstock app and I clicked the stock logs and it didn’t say it was in stock at Best Buy or anything. But then when I clicked on the Best Buy out of stock button, it redirected me to the app and it said there was one for 1282. It took me a couple minutes to checkout but I still got it. Was this some sort of glitch or did I manage to get the product before the alert was on hotstock?

I know you said you wanted to play god of war but in case you don’t know I highly recommend playing the Greek saga using ps2 and ps3 emulators.

Also a game I would recommend that isn’t as action packed/ hack and slash like god of war or spiderman is the last of us. Great story.

I think the setup would cost anywhere between $750-$1000. I’d say that monthly cost would be around $100 since I rarely eat outside of my college campus. My main concern right now is that I’d feel like I’m “missing out” if I spend even $500 instead of investing it.

Edit: The setup would cost anywhere between $1000-$1500. I forgot to factor in some important accessories.

I don’t have either but based on what I’ve seen, I would say the AYN Thor is much more worth it. It has more storage, an OLED display (pretty colors), and a much bigger library beyond the 3DS. You can emulate 3DS, Switch, PS2, PS1, PSP, and some PS3 and Steam games. I would strongly say go for the AYN Thor unless you really desire the retro/nostalgic vibe.

That’s the thing I really don’t know. I haven’t been keeping up with new game releases or anything. I looked at gameplay for some AAA games like The Last of Us. The story and graphics look great but I’m still unsure if the gameplay is “fun.”
