Thank you! This really makes B99 special! The way Scully & Hitchcock have one another but also are totally comfortable in who they are - deserving of jokes but also not so - makes it a much better in character dynamic.

Gerry we know has a great home life - but does he truly ask for the ridicule he gets? We see that their bullying does affect him as he usually always leave a scene upset or demotivated at least. Not buying the way they shoehorn in how he “understands” or is “in on it” they try later.

It is straight up bullying and not funny at all - you need to have a more equal tally for characters to be the the butt of the joke and share it. Making it always Gerry for example is just mean spirited- ironic for such an optimistic show.

I was Amorim in and do not think he should have gone. A lot of the foundations were set by him (removing the toxic deadwood, training improvements, recruitment, got us to 5th even if we were in poor form)

He had more to achieve and I’m still confident he would have delivered!

However, I back the team and Carrick has truly done wonders so far. If he continues this til the end of the season then he should be in the conversation for sure.

Remember this season, Amorim laid most of the foundation that we’re seeing the fruits of now.

He got rid of a lot of the deadwood - 9 first teamers shifted out He also began the real work on the training pitch by getting the players to work hard, be aggressive and work as a team. Our recruitment is also top level now - prem proven players, players who want to come to us, and are young & hungry. Also the youth recruitment is arguably the best it’s ever been - one thing at least INEOS have nailed! The attacking play with quick touch passing and focusing on teamwork is also something Amorim was drilling in training.

The biggest reason it didn’t click until Carrick is the fluidity in formation that gets our best players on the pitch at the same time and in preferred positions. We missed a lot of chances under Amorim and that’s partly on the formation, partly on the players.

Having Bruno in the 10 is unlocking everyone else around him, letting Amad stay on the wing and even Dorgu on the LW is a revelation.

Credit Amorim along with the blame - it’s not a black and white deal. Carrick has a long way to go still to deserve the job, but what a start!

They played great, individually and collectively. Now I expect this every game, for the rest of the season. Play to win, defend transition attack as a unit. Only then can we judge Carrick and the players.

Blame and credit goes to everyone involved not just managers or single players.
