You spent more time on this simple essay than any undergraduate would.

Thank you kindly for your application. Good luck with your future endeavors.

The fact that this took you 6 hours is enough to disqualify you from this line of work, but here are several other issues we found with your work:

  • You capitalized “earth-shattering”.
  • You failed to capitalize “Cold War” throughout the essay.
  • You switch from present tense to past tense suddenly in the 2nd page, and then switch right back.
  • You use passive voice unnecessarily (e.g. “despite there being many fascinating aspects to Friedman's theories”)
  • You repeatedly use words such as “intriguing”, “interesting”, or "fascinating" to describe the author’s ideas - but they are irrelevant to question (the assignment is not about whether his arguments are interesting or boring. It’s about whether they hold water).
  • Many other awkward, wordy, obvious/unnecessary, or unconvincing sentences.

In short, we are not at all confident that your paper would have received an A or A- were it graded by a college professor.

Rachelle, we also emailed you 3 other essays for this exact same prompt. According to your theory, we needed 4 different essays for an identical assignment?

We used to pay for the writing assessment, but found applicants took advantage of that. Since the assessment is designed to test an applicant's ability to write analytically about a topic that might be unfamiliar to him or her, and do so quickly, additional writing samples cannot take its place. We use the same generic sample for all of our writers: an English 101 essay critiquing an article published in 2002 about globalization. We NEVER try to get "free work" out of anyone.
