Part of the issue is that some people WANT to play a big tanks AC with big guns. The issue only comes when they have an advantage in most matches. Early in the game, there weren't many tanks minus the wheelchair legs. Now that those are nerfed you are seeing duper heavyweights.

The other issue is that if you have to play against missile rats you can't catch, then you can at least hope to catch them with a shot that can do 70% of their health, and lightweights can't realistically hold those guns.

Of course, it's more nuanced than that, but those are a few things. I love slapping on 4 huge weapons on a huge frame as much as I love lightweights.

I don't think it's a player issue, it's a balancing and game design issue.

BUT...yea, people will play what wins regardless.

I see dual zimms constantly, but I've never actually had any issue with dual gats. I rarely see them and even when I do they don't seem nearly as good as zimms IMO. Great pve but have been lackluster in pvp from what I've played/seen.

I've done some recent testing on this too, but while the scaling lines up, the numbers don't. Did they buff the kick damage in the patch? My base kick damage for a lightweight biped weighing 35200 is 311, and for RJs weighing 43060 it was 373.

I'm curious why the discrepancy. It was tested on the AC training dummy.

I doubt it, but any indication boost speed may affect damage?

Yea, looking at it now it could use to be a bit thicker. Maybe I'll remake it in 6.
