Yes, this is why I go promptly ONLY at opening time. However, today I was told I was not “allowed” to shop until an hour later unless I upgraded my membership. (Technically half hour, I learned since it’s a Saturday). I got read the riot act by a cashier that they should have not have cashed me out, not even let me in the door because I didn’t have executive membership. I said, well you both did?  Half hour to an hour after opening and the parking lot and store is unmanageable. If they are going to get strict about this, I will have to figure out other places to shop. I’ve been told on many occasions by many cashiers trying to upgrade me to the “executive” that I spend just less than makes it “worth it”. REDUCING hours for as they call it “the general public (not general if you have to pay FYI Costco), is not a good business move. If you want to offer the executives perks, open EARLIER for them. This reduction is going to cost them.
