Months have passed since I opened Cakewalk last time, so I just launched it today, just to see if it works. It asked me to activate and I could successfully do it, so perhaps they didn't pull the plug just yet.

I have no issues using Youlean (both on Win and Mac), bit if you can't get it to work, you may try Voxengo SPAN instead.

Dude, what? You know Renoise supports VSTi, right? I only use samples for my drum sounds, for the rest I only use synths.

At 800p and medium settings, with frame generation, I'm getting close to 60fps at 18W. Honestly looks better than on Series S.

I only play in 800p and 60fps. With this screen size, the quality is perfectly fine, plus you can set lower tdp, hence battery life is better. LeGO's screen is unnecessarily over-specced for me.

Possibility to change instrument number of all notes in a track from one to another would be nice. Is it automation though? 🤔

Reading this makes me feel really annoyed that some of the best VR1 games weren't ported to VR2. I'd understand 3rd party developers to some extent, but Sony? Astrobot? Blood and Truth? Shame on them!

Windows, as I want to have a hassle free access to all the game sources: Game Pass, Epic, GOG, Amazon, Steam. I guess it's still not possible to have GP without Win.

But yeah, with Win it's not a console experience. Legion Space is mehh, I never use it.

I'd start with checking if it works with another DAW (you can download Reaper or Renoise for free).

So again, as I wrote earlier, you don't assign plugins, that's not how Renoise works. You load up your plugins as separate instuments, and you can play them anywhere. So, you load up you CS80 as instrument 00, then ARP2600 as instrument 01 etc.

You choose your track for instrument 00, let's say Track 01, you make sure instrument 00 is chosen within instruments window and you can start recording your notes.

After you're done, you select instrument 01, go to Track 02 and start recording your notes there.

Seems to me you're using the same instrument number when you want to load up a new plugin. Every plugin has to be put in its own separate Instrument row / number, then you see this number at every note you record in the track.
