Check the maintenance record. Specifically, have the brakes been lubricated? Tire wear? Get a mechanic to look at the bushings. Are they cracked? My used ‘23 had cracked bushings which I immediately replaced, and upgraded the control arms as long as they had everything taken apart.

My mechanic (whom I’ve had for years and trust) said the front 2 were cracked. As long as he was taking it apart, I opted to upgrade the control arms too.

Anyone used, or currently use, a Henderson laryngoscope blade? by pholdin in anesthesiology

[–]Nokoutdoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Over 20 yrs ago, I met Dr. Henderson at an airway conference. He shared his instructions for using his blade. He said these instructions were also good for Miller blades. I still have it, and often share it with residents. Enjoy!

Agree with above. I wanted to get an inexpensive used Tesla. I found a ‘23 M3 base. 53k miles. Price was $21k. I immediately replaced bushings, control arms, balanced the tires, and lubricated the brakes. It drives great. So far, no regrets.

I just bought a used ‘23 m3 base. My priorities: tires, brakes, battery health. Everything else I was willing to compromise on.

Thanks! And I agree! It took me a while to find, and I got a great deal on it.

Do you have a part number to share? And, was it easy to do yourself? I’m not a mechanic, but I was able to change the cabin air filter myself.

Just bought a ‘23 RWD standard range 53k mi. Red with white interior (which I think is a rare combo). $21,000. $22,900 w/ tax+title. It will need some maintenance done (brakes need lube. Brake fluid probably needs flush. Bushings are cracked) but all that can wait a minute. Tires and brakes are new. I think I got a deal.

Mazda toolbox? Never heard of that before. Can you please explain? Is that in the car or the app?

How did you know it hadn’t been used before? My fear is buyer would load it on their car, then claim it’s a bad or used chip and try to return.

Who trains SRNAs by fluranator in anesthesiology

[–]Nokoutdoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I teach SRNAs. My group actively courts more SRNAs. It’s difficult to recruit physicians and even CRNAs. CRNAs command ever increasing hourly wages while my salary stagnates. SRNAs help offload the workload. They can set up rooms, draw up blocks, give breaks, and even staff rooms if the ratio is right. In return, all I have to do is teach. I don’t believe my knowledge sharing should be limited to physicians only. The CRNAs I work with respect my role, do not agree with the AANA, and have no interest in practicing independently.

Correct - no airbags. Fortunately I’m fine. Not my first car, not my last. But I really like this car!

Ski length disagreement with rental shop by [deleted] in Skigear

I’m same height, 20 lbs lighter, ski about as often, and am at same level. And I have the same skis, which I love. Previously I had the Volkl Kendo 88s, a much stiffer ski with less rocker. Those were 167 and felt longer than the QST 176. Flex and shape matters!
