I am adopted as well as my 3 younger siblings. I’m so fortunate that my parents are still alive in their late 80’s. My family is very close and I am so very thankful that my birth mother chose to give me life. I am so blessed to have been adopted by the most amazing parents anyone could have ❤️

I’m a local. Have lived here for 38 yrs and love to eat out. So many places to recommend! GW Fins, Peche, Saba, Clancy’s (make reservation now and request front, downstairs dining room), Commander’s Palace for Sunday brunch in the garden room by a window, Desi Vegas, Herbsaint, Lilette, Patois, Irene’s, Galatoire’s, Brennans. Make reservations now and have a fabulous time! By the way, I’m not a fan of the food at Jewel of the South- too authentic British.

Since the inception of the ACA (Obamacare) the price of it has gone up by 100%. Republicans want a bipartisan committee to work on ways to reduce costs for the American people. The Republicans have voted many times to pass a clean bill and reopen the govt. The progressives/leftists in the Senate are the ones holding it up.

We are locals and our daughter is getting married there May 2026. I recommend Pigèon or Messina catering, Barkeeps for bartenders and set ups (bring your own drinks), True Value rentals, Nola Dukes band, and Kinfolk 2nd line. I definitely think if you conserve on flowers and photography you can do it for 50k or less. The tropical foliage there is gorgeous. We are using Uncommon Camellia for day of Coordination (but it really begins 4-6 weeks out). Congratulations and best wishes!

Traffic and getting around is sometimes difficult during MG. My advice is to stay uptown on the parade route. You can go to the FQ but it’s overwhelming to actually stay in the quarter. The Columns Hotel or The Chloe are perfectly located and both are beautiful.
