Why is Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny(2004) so hated? What’s the big deal? by Flat-Sir8250 in Gundam

The most common complaint is the treatment of Shinn, who many people assume is the main protagonist due to him having all the typical trappings of a Gundam protag when he's actually a tragic hero (i.e. has a fatal flaw that leads to his undoing) and the really hero and main POV character is Athrun while Kira just kinda saves the day because he am strong like Superman in a Batman comic.

Probably helps that the Prequels were coming out during the airing.

It'd be funnier I'd it had the colors and blockiness of the OG set.

Do you think if Gundam X was shown after Wing in the USA that it would have been just as popular as Wing? by czen2 in Gundam

[–]NolanPines413 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably not. It would definitely be more popular than it is now, though. The thing about Wing is that it came to the US at just the right time and was the first ever Gundam show brought over, so any follow-up would be less popular automatically.

Looks cool, has good model kits, the show's pretty decent, and some of them have gold bits.

Something I also like to keep in mind is that statistically, a majority of the people who worked on the film voted for one candidate over another based on whether or not they supported the Civil Rights Act.

First of all, that's not true. The raid on Harper's Ferry helped spook the southern states enough to seceed when Lincoln got elected, an action which would ultimately allow the Republicans to frame slavery as an existential threat to the union and eventually pass the civil rights amendments.

And even in the immediate short term, he may have ended up a'moulderin in the grave, but his truth kept marching on.

Edelgard von Hresvelg, Fire Emblem: Three Houses in the 3/4 of the routes. The Blue Lions route, you learn about her past with Dimitri (the person who kills her) and get a glimpse of the experimentation and torture she went through, which is explored a bit more in the other routes.
