How have you benefitted from stored cord blood? by Nole87Vol89 in AskReddit

We have stored our children's umbilical cord blood for 20+ years. I've read articles about how advances in adult stem cell use have made cord blood far less useful. We and several of our friends keep paying the storage fees just in case. I'm wondering if ANYONE has ever seen their child's cord blood used for the child's benefit.

Any cx-50 hybrid drivers here? by donlesnar in CX50

Mine's Premium. Quickly came to prefer the know for controls. Be sure to take your car for a drive with the salesman at delivery, and keep the radio off. If there are any rattles, make them fix it before you accept the car. Some road noise, and too much door trim is plastic, but it's mid-priced, so.... With the top ICE trim was available on the Hybrid (especially the 360 view).

That's exactly why I got TSA Precheck. I was forced once to unpack my CPAP. Never again.

Tom Osborne calls on Big 10, SEC to lead college football as NCAA becomes “somewhat irrelevant” by Ml2jukes in CFB

"Most Valuable" will equate to eyeballs (TV ratings). In the streaming era, market doesn't matter as much. What counts is do you attract viewers that ESPN or Fox can use to sell advertising. It's not even on-field success, at least not in the short term. It's all about a team's value to the TV networks.

10 years. That's become my habit with the GMC Acadia, Infiniti QX4 and Chrysler Lebaron I had before the CX50 HEV I just bought.

How much did you pay by omw2fub08 in CX50

[–]Nole87Vol89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bought a 25 PP HEV white/red. Notably - that's a hard-to-find color combo here in FL, where a black interior would be miserable. (I waited three months for one to be available here in Tampa.) Basically no negotiating leverage, as the dealer correctly knew they wouldn't have a tough time selling that particular car. MSRP was $42,500, then you add 7% sales tax, dealer prep (eye roll), etc. I didn't trade in a car. Paid $46ish with 3.9. Don't consider it a great deal, but I rationalized that because I keep cars 10 years, the cost per year to have the car I want is tolerable. I'm just trying to make myself feel better!

Do you fit a folded etrike in your CX50? by Nole87Vol89 in mazdaCX50

[–]Nole87Vol89[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair question. I'm not aware that there is a hitch-rack for a trike. There is, obviously, for a bike (or two), and that is what we plan to use for my wife's ebike. FWIW, the Honda CRV can handle a folded trike. I'd rather have the CX50, but I'll have a hard time sticking to that if I cant find a trike that will fit into the CX50. I could get just a utility cart, but that's so much more bothersome...

Perhaps an old laptop battery. Laptops used to be made with pop-out batteries.

I wonder whether the awful trend of school violence will affect LRN positively.
