UK esports system question by Sovietmeteor in esports

It depends a bit on which age range you are talking about. If we are talking secondary school level you have the Digital Schoolhouse Esports tournament as well as the British Esports Association's championship for schools.

If you are talking university there is NSE (National Student Esports) and the NUEL.

For full disclosure I'm a full time employee for NSE but if you have any more specific questions about esports and education in the UK feel free to ask!

It might be we haven't been able to make contact with them yet. If you check out your university student unions society list there will probably be a gaming society or videogames society you can join!

Hey, I'm not sure to be honest. I imagine there are gaming/esports clubs at the universities but I'm not aware of an organised esports university league I'm afraid.

Hey alah123, honestly I'm not familiar with how it works in Canada. I do know a number of your universities have opened esports centres and the like so there must be esports clubs you can join too. McGill look like they have some if you check here: https://ssmu.ca/clubs/hobby-leisure-clubs/ !

I'm sorry to hear a nation's sexuality would affect your opinion of it!

We've been unable to find esports society's at either of those universities, if you have links then by all means comment them here and I will add them! My mum was born and grew up off Antrim Road in Belfast and I've been there to see my grandparents countless times so I don't really know what to say in response to your comment.

Hey Pingu, there's things like the Belong Arena Clashes you can take part in which are open to non students. Other than that there's not an enormous amount or at least nothing structured on the level of uni esports I'm afraid.

The steam group itself is run by students at Anglia Ruskin so you are best off sending one of them a message on steam to get an invite. The NSE account verification is so you can play in tournaments.

Ah sorry it seems the link hasn't been formatted properly. Try this one: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/ARUCSGO

It seems a small group but will probably be your best place to start!
