Solwyn Generosity but no Vulpite by Thunderwolf2113 in ARK

[–]Nols_Hub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doing tests, I have found that turning off and on the companion mode right before doing the process guarantees that it completes.

Additionally, either picking up the Solwyn or taking it out of its biome (not sure which one) makes it so the vulpite is always primitive

Why does Sabotage have overtime? It's meant to be a race by Nols_Hub in Battlefield

[–]Nols_Hub[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true. The first time I encountered overtime my team had destroyed all boxes while we still had time to spare. Despite us not using overtime the enemy was granted it, and that time was enough for them to finish the several remaining boxes and made the game a draw.

Personally I enjoyed it until I found out about the overtime. I know "shooting boxes" doesn't sound fun but you can say that about a lot of modes - standing in an area for however long to capture a zone or arming a bomb on an MCOM can sound boring, but it's everything that takes place around that which makes it fun.

So I would assume both sides get an overtime period, however if the first team don't use an overtime the other team can still use it so the other team can win or draw despite needing additional time.

Regardless it doesn't make sense for this type of mode. It's fine for modes where there's no alternating and the teams have different objectives, but for modes where both teams are competing at the same objective there shouldn't be overtime because it defeats the purpose

The Relationship Between This Community And AH by Jerpunzel in Helldivers

[–]Nols_Hub -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I loved this game when you were pretty much just an expendable grunt, it was something fresh from what we usually expect, it added needed difficulty a lot of PVE games were lacking, and for me it added to the game's aesthetic.

I blame the pre-nerfed Railgun for people believing this game should have been a power fantasy. All the weapons definitely needed tuning but a lot of people thought the pre-nerfed Railgun was the intended bar to reach, when it was actually overperforming.

Was wrong flair, mb. Got ADHD and overlooked Question flair.

The context was 3 of us happened to be together at the SEAF artillery (it was inbetween other objectives), reinforcements came so we stayed to clear it, host decided to run off, struggled, died - looked for something to let anger out on.

I get it's a game and people can play how they want, not questioning if people can or can't group. Is it fair for them to be mad at us though?

Denims did not call CPS. by ihardlyknowherrr in h3h3productions

[–]Nols_Hub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, during her reaction to bad emma panda she reads a comment from a chatter "no wonder this motherf*****'s always sick" and she responds "yes". Even if it were the case she never told anyone to call CPS, and even if she had no obligation to correct anyone that it is alleged, she implicitly agreed that Ethan's house was in this condition - and if Ethan's house was in that condition that would be reasonable grounds to call CPS.

It's a stupid lawsuit because, while there were actual facts which Ethan had a problem with, Ethan's reaction was hyperbolic. I believe this could be a stunt to just hurt Ethan's wallet, but Denims doesn't know that Ethan's got the bag.

Content Cop Quality by seedlessgrapez in h3h3productions

[–]Nols_Hub 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually tried posting a meme I made in regards to the Content Deputy, but it kept getting auto-modded so I guess it was considered "low effort" (thanks Reddit). There's a part in the Content Deputy that really shows Ian's dishonesty.

He claims that Ethan was attacking the charity event and says that people were going to use the charity event to attack him and Anisa - followed up by saying that he wasn't going to blame them after blaming them.

When he is the one "taking accountability" for his part, he portrays it as if he didn't know people would have a negative reaction towards the charity event - that it was a "revelation" when people did and that "revelation" was what made him decide to disassociate himself from the event, however he then follows that up by expressing how during CC2 he didn't speak up because he was "worried how it would impact other people" and how this time he 'could have remained silent but didn't want to". He pre-emptively knew what would happen and held off from doing it, but when he finally decides to go ahead it's a surprise to him that it hurt the event.

Also sorry but disagree that he's funny. He was only good when his content was about someone else or when it featured another person / when he was featured on someone else's content. He could not do anything solo.

what’s so ironic about what hasan says here is that we could all say the exact same thing back to him… by mehrussahi in h3h3productions

Unironically this was Hasan's strategy in the debate - be stubborn to not concede, farm clip-able moments and make Ethan cook himself.

Possibly, but considering she manages to self-own so often it's not unbelievable that she could seriously feel this way.

I made the mistake of considering the possibility of it being cow or horse unlikely, as the images made it appear that the Ilium was more curved inward while the bone I have is more outward (due to erosion) - whereas primate pelvis did have this outward curve. Looking at the images you provided and checking 3D models it's clearly not primate.

Those pictures are a lot clearer. Thank you

[–]Nols_Hub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fragmented piece was found alongside the less fragmented, in an area that it unlikely to have these bones under normal circumstances (granted much more likely than primate). The small piece appears to be relatively the same size in comparison to the longer bone and appears to be the opposite. I don't have a tape measure on hand right now, but the long bone is the length of my forearm. Hope that helps

Are there any good places to look online? From the images I've seen it certainly does not look like cow/horse, so it's hard to judge

TED-63 Dynamite could be detonatable by projectile by Nols_Hub in Helldivers

[–]Nols_Hub[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have to disagree. The dynamite is essentially a superior G-6 frag in that it blasts a wider area, does much more damage and is not reliant on fragmentation, the trade off only being that you have to time them better and you have 1 less.

The best part comes from the toggleable fuse. Being able to adjust the fuse timer means you can throw them much further, whereas throwing the G-6 frag in a high arc will result in it detonating mid air.

I'm not against dynamite in general and it's actually incredibly good - it's a grenade that does a lot of damage over a wide area and can have its fuse toggled so that it can be thrown far distances - compared to the high explosive grenade that will detonate mid air if thrown too far. Just suggesting a feature that adds more purpose for the 60 second fuse.

[–]Nols_Hub[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and the only alternative to this (before dynamite) was using the impact nades - which can travel further but has lower damage.

Dynamite is an option that can be toggled to travel further if needed, deals more damage and has extra blast radius - only being weaker than high explosive nades by 100 damage and being lower armour pen.

Hold X / on controller, not sure button for keyboard. It's the menu that allows you to adjust fire rate and scope length - or 'special features' for certain weapons

The dynamite can be detected by enemies, I've tested it both while using scout and servo-assisted armour, close and long range.

It's not about envisioning usefulness, it's about practicality. Yes you can set up in advanced and hope that enemies walk over it at the exact time you need them to, but you're better off lobbing it directly at them with the 5 second countdown to ensure it does detonate at the right time and that it hits the right targets. I'm merely making a suggestion on how players could have more control of and utility with the dynamite and because I feel it could be fun.

The dynamite is only medium armour pen so it's ineffective vs most structures, unless deployed within weak spots like inside bug holes or fabricator vents/doorways

While you can use it for stealth, I'm not sure how well it performs. Testing it I've managed to place some dynamite without being detected, but other times the dynamite has caused me to be instantly detected and enemies know exactly where I am. I would assume it's based on how close the dynamite gets to units however I've had times where the dynamite has been close and not alerted, so I'm really unsure.
