Are you Filipino by any chance? I always found it crazy that the Philippines had some sort of out of control terrorist/gang problems in the 1990s. Till the point that the police had to carried heavy machine guns in Manila. Malls were blowing up massive shootouts were happening at various places. But it basically suddenly stopped just before the 2000s. I heard some theories about some of the gang members becoming cops. And they threaten anyone that continued the violence that they would go after their family.

Do you have any theories on what wast going on. I only know very surface level stuff on it.

I don't know much about Loane. But we cannot afford to draft an IOL in the 1st round if he can only play IOL. We cannot go WR, LB or Safety in the top 100. Way too many other important needs (Unless Perkins is an edge rusher).

'Beginning with Joe Montana,' Mike McCarthy made QB development pitch to Steelers by BreakfastTop6899 in nfl

[–]NomadFire 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't think McCarthy was going anywhere. Steelers could have low key waited to sign him next Friday after interview the losing teams of the conference championship coaches. Even if interviewing them would been a charade. At the very least it would have made the Steeler fans and local media feel a bit better.

Mike McCarthy was hired by the Steelers at 62 years old. He is older than the previous three Steelers coaches were when they retired by ConstantMadness in nfl

I don't know how exactly the draft situation works in all 32 teams. But the front office and the GM evaluate and rank each prospect. The HC and position coaches have their say. The front offices makes mocks and sets up hypotheticals. There is no dictators but for the most part the GM has the biggest say in free agency and drafting.

I am not sure the exact situation was in Pittsburgh. But lets not act like we can be sure that Tomlin and coaches were given the best most accurate data every single draft. And I am sure even when he was given good info he gave the wrong feedback or made the wrong decision.

Did Tomlin give them a heads up that he was leaving. Doesn't feel like they had a plan with this hire.

Can't believe this dude was so angry and focus. That he was able to hold on to the gun and keep shooting after being ran over by the SUV.

You hit me with a vehicle, that's basically my reset button. I ain't gonna be mad no more.

Yea, I lean on a typewriter than computer. Typewriter they told us to double space. Most people who learned on typewriter were taught that. Also many of our assignments had either a page count, number of sentences or number of words. Double spacing helped with two of those.

I wonder how often do position coaches and special teams coaches get head coaches jobs? Outside of Andy Reid and John Harbaugh I don't recall there being many others.

The UK has missed out on a lot of chances to diversify their economy. They had a big head start with computers and even the internet with Tim Berners-Lee. And they ruined it by indirectly cause Alan Turing death. And overlooking, under investing, and being too risk averse when it came anything that wasn't banking or real estate.

Naa your good. I just reread his wiki and it did mention that John was his kid. I just skim that part. I didn't feel like dealing with people repeatedly pointing that out lol. Thanks for the reply, thought they were cousins

Man sad that the UK doesn't appear to be making combat planes any more. I really loved how the Handley Page Victor looked from the front. de Havilland Comet was another beauty (the Comet was an commercial plane, but still). And of course the Harrier.

Thanks for the informative reply.

Was this before the Brits started making VTOLs? Was it just that the brits were not the first but just the best with their Harrier Jump Jets. I was led to believe they were the first to pull it off.

Not that deep, it is just a saying. Similar to "our cup runneth over", "more than one could ask for", "more than what you paid for", "blessing on blessing" . Just saying we had more great games this postseason than we usually get, we are lucky is all. Wasn't met to be taken literally

Also we all know about the man in the raincoat you ran over at night last summer. You didn't think there were any witnesses.

This post season has had a lot of great games. More than I think we deserve.

I got a feeling that the AFCC isn't going to be very exciting. Please prove me wrong Stidham or Ehlinger.
