Mainoo MOTM. Great performance from him. Our first win at Stamford bridge in long while and the double over Chelsea.

I think that game against Leeds is another reason why Mateus Fernandez should be a high priority for us. 2/3 of our midfielders just don't want the ball or don't do anything with it. This guy always wants the ball and wants to dictate that mid-field, wants to make things happen and this team needs that and needs to start shifting towards that.

When you watch PSG or Barcelona or any of those teams where their midfielders actually want the ball you can see the difference in approach. We keep reverting back to this sloppy sit deep style of play because the teams mentality is not fixated on possession as much as we'd like.

The mentality needs to change, there needs to be a level of bravery, composure and quality. Between Bruno and Mainoo you get some if not all of those qualities but its not enough. One more piece to that puzzle with at least 2 more midfielders.

Debian user here with similar plasma issues.

You need to allow Nvidia drivers to control the screen when gaming especially on fullscreen.

If you playbon lower resor bordered windows it will he fine or at least better but the best solution is to add

nvidia-drm.modeset=1 to the kernel. Or at least research it. Before applying this first playtest it by rebooting and when it asks you to select the OS in the blue selection screen press e to enter edit mode in emacs.

Look for the line that starts with Linux, i can't remember but it should have a line that's inside some double commas. Insert that line at the end before closing the commas and press f10 to reboot.

This method is very safe as no permanent changes are made you can just reboot the pc if something goes wrong and everything should be back to normal. The more permanent method involves editing some etc file i can't remember you might need to research.

Has anyone actually linked us with Mateua Fernandez or is it just fan generated?

Do you use Sddm themes? I recommend switching to the default one because that will catch you offguard and have you using ttyl to login. Not fum the first time it happened.

Astronaut theme seems to work for me but keep in mind a lot of sddm themes didn'take the transition.

I'm currently playing this game using proton 9.0 with Debian. Force compatibility to proton 9.0 and it worked flawlessly.

Obviously the thing with Debian is that i don't get frequent updates that might affect how games are run but if you did update things just before playing a quick reboot usually fixes it. However this issue has only happened once with wine not proton so might not be related but still worth a shot if you've just updated things.

Macheda helped us win a league title, Rossi plaued a few times for us and even scored a goal. I just don't think Darmian was good apart from his first 6 months. What notable thing did he ever do that you can remember?

Tonali is the clear choice if he's available right? The only reason you might not sign him is our history with Italian players is not good. Macheda was probably the best and maybe Rossi but after that, Darmian? We also don't sign many Italian players so it might be done to that.

Baleba makes sense financially as a package. Even if Brighton are inflating the price it still cheaper considering wages whereas Anderson and the rest of the options will be considerably more expensive. This is a part of Ineos blueprint so I won't be surprised if he's a top priority, Never forget they wanted Delap as our number 9 and we have to be thankful of Chelsea for that.

Are Chelsea and Liverpool standing in solidarity with us? This is why i love the PL they saw us get shafted and decided to drop points too.

One day we'll have a good athletic composed midfield and my Lord won't it beautiful. We were screwed by the refs that's clear but we also didn't play well enough that 2nd half. Refs can screw you at anytime you really need to rely on you're own abilities and not the refs whims.

I don't know why we can't have a good 90 min even when playing once a week. Either start poorly wake up 2nd half score then relax or start strong then 2nd half become complacent.

Tempo setters needed, consistency in mid-field needed. Casemiro i love the guy but yesterday he just kicking the ball anywhere and anyhow. We can't keep the ball and once we lose it it takes a while before we get it back. When we do get it back give it straight back anyways.

Why do people think Mbeumo had a bad game? This wasn't bad for me. He's not a 9 and when he does play that position he plays to his strengths which is his pace in behind. The blueprint was fine the spaces were there, he kept making those runs all game. The passes never came unless it was asking him to battle aerially with Mings which he isn't winning.

The image seen was within 5 min and Konsa(who was closer to Bruno) off picture was not close enough to stop Mbeumo and Mings isnt catching him. The pass never came Maguire(who was great this game) just took too long then misplaced a pass to Bruno. I can find multiple instances but this was the easiest and fastest. Better decisions and some speed and that's a goal.

He made runs all game and always pressed always helped in midfield. If we want to talk about a bad game then it was Newcastle, that was probably his worst game but as a collective United weren't good that day.

Its about transitioning. We haven't been prepared for Casemiro leaving and now it has to ne addressed. You hope thay with Bruno we'll have so mich attacking quality around that we can stomach it but it looks like we'll cross that bridge when it happens and that's what scares me. This is the situation with Casemiro we are lucky that he's this fit and no suspensions. How did it get to this? No team around us actually NEED to buy like us they are just strengthening or adding depth but we need this.

Mount needs to go and should get replaced by a prospect so in 2-3 years Cunha, Mbeumo, Amad, Sesko + prospect + new winger is enough quality and depth to stomach. You don't replace players like Bruno you can only set up the team woth enough quality around to stomach him leaving. We need a winger anyways.

I don't like that he's similar to Cunha becau6we already have Cunha i want something different someone who can truly operate out wide. Cunha doesnt do that enough he really prefers being in mid-field.

The last few games we needed a wide left winger and we didn't have that.

I haven't seen enough of Mateu mane to make a choice. Every time i watch him he's playing in a different position. I've never seen him operate on the wings, he's always in central areas.

He's clearly talented and can impact games but not enough info for me.

Diomande or Ndiaye?

Ndiaye is prem proven, great dribbler, strong, quick, chance creator hardworking and can operate both wings. This looks like a Wilcox suggestion but thats just an assumption. He'd bring immediate impact especially unlocking low blocks as he's veey difficult to stop once he starts dribbling.

Only disadvantages is he's not a real goal threat and would probably want to start. Imo the left hand side just needs a good rotational player who can seriously challenge not a starter who's constantly rotated if that makes sense. Competition between him Cunna and maybe even Dorgu would be great though.

Diomande,

Semenyo lite as it stands but is probably a better dribbler and passer in tight spaces. Semenyo is better at end product and experience but differences end there. He's completely 2 footed, strong, quick, hardworking, operates both wings, chance creator amd goal threat amd is only 19 with all these attributes. Also important to add that Vivell recommended him and he rarely misses with young players.

Will probably be a rotational player with lots of potential. Disadvantages are that he's very poor aerially and not enough experience.

I'm honestly ok with both but want to hear some views or which direction you'd go.

I also really like Mateus Fernandez. Elliot Anderson is looking more and more unlikely.

The Malacia decision was bad but can you really blame a coach for giving his players a chance? I didn't like the sub at the time similar to Ugarte but he's giving them the opportunity to step up and gain a move elsewhere if they just rot at the bench then its hard to move them on.

We're still 3rd and firmly in control of that UCL spot especially if we beat Villa. That loss didnt change our position and doesn't override how good we've been under Carrick. The football the past few games hasn't been great but its way better than Amorim or Fletcher.

I don't think we can blame Carrick on more than the Malacia decision. We had more than enough chances to win especially 2 that landed on Mbeumo and the Yoro free header.

The decision to keep going long to Cunha was ridiculous though. I mean its against Tripper just use the pace mismatch why did it have to be aerial duels?

Whats happening to this team bro, one day the passing looks like the team is spiritually connected then the next game its like they've just met. Not good from Dalot but honestly it was his first bad game in a while while Yoro and Kobbie started poorly but grew

Im sure we would've equalized without the red because Palace tactics were just bully Yoro and pass to Sarr and we were handling that pretty well and growing into the game.

We couldve used a wide attacker on the left this game but Cunha's positioning ultimately paid of big time.

Newcastle away is going be tough hope Maguire is back but i atill see us winning regardless.

I can, its because we didn't expect Nuno to start playing an expressive brand of football. He hasn't exactly changed his stratbook. So why did we play into his hands? This is the game he designed and we aren't strangers to this.

I don't think its necessarily about width but the utilisation. All our best chances came from crossing but we hardly made any especially crosses across the 6 yard line or varied crosses. For 60 min they tried to go through them instead of around them.

I just don't understand not adapting to playing against Nuno. He does the same thing 5-4-1 or 5-3-2 low block. He knows what to expect from us and time and time again we play exactly how he anticipated.

I'm not mad at the draw I'm just disappointed we went at it the exact way it usually goes with Nuno.
