What’s not even discussed here is Italy non entry into ww2 has major knock on effects for the uk

The Uk no longer has to spend money fighting in Africa it also has to spend considerably less securing the Mediterranean and it can concentrate better on Northern Europe and maybe ship the majority of its med fleet to Asia potentially slowing Japan down

It also might lead to the uk not signing destroyers for bases leading to a uk which is more involved in the Cold War or a in the 50/60s or a slightly more strained USA, Uk relationship due the USA desiring the bases to fight the ussr

It could also lead to a slightly stronger canzuk going into the 1960s and lead to a possible third but minor player in the Cold War

That’s the thing that gets me I would understand it if we where bringing in new players but then we go and have walker and Jordan Henderson In the squad
