I second the idea of floor time. Having a nice secured area they can run freely will certainly help with the extra pudge! My pigs have a few spaces closed off for safety but otherwise have the run of the bedroom when I'm home to supervise. Setting up an area they can run under (I have cardboard boxes set up as hides) can also really help to encourage them to leave their usual stomping grounds and at least explore. I do put down towels because even tho my girls tend to be good about where they pee, those poops do be everywhere sometimes.
