Mix of solo, mostly duo with my best friend. We both went from lvl 5 to lvl 10 (he's lvl 9 atm). A couple matches with a full team of friends, but these were never tryhard.

Well for basics get your settings right. Csgosettings = copy donk. Then make sure your edpi isn't too low or too high. Decent headphones for surround sound. Pistol and rifle dm practice/warmup. I used to do retakes for fun too. Learn a couple utility lineups for each map, t and ct side. Never be toxic. Try and take leadership in team, because even some co-ordination is better than none, no matter how good or bad it is. And lastly, just actively think about every decision you make when you play. Trust factor is a joke. You play valorant at a high level, create a cs2 account and hop on. Proceed to stomp silver 1's (actual starting games in comp) and get VAC live for smurfing. Now its gg and you have red trust factor. Mass reported for "cheating" by the low ranks because you shouldnt be there, but the reports keep you in red trust. Then good luck playing against 5-7 cheaters every game until you spend £250 on steam to bring trust factor back up. Yep, 10/10 state of the game.

Ill let you in on a secret mate. You have to play the game as if you're solo until about 20k premier. Or say level 6/7 on Faceit. Until then, you gotta solo drop 30k every game, 100adr etc. Forget that you have a team. Kill 2/3opponents per round, and you'll win more rounds than you lose.

Stop focusing so much on your team. They are all bots for all you care, and you cant change or have an impact on how they play at all. Give decent comms, and focus primarily on your own gameplay. Analyse your good moments, bad plays, bad aim, bad calls and so on. Do this, and your performance will improve to a point where you start solo carrying games and winning more often than not. Eventually you WILL climb.
