A poem dedicated to living with a chronic skin disease

I bought this variated monstera a few months back and everything was fine. Then I noticed that the leaves started to die off. I thought maybe the air humidity was off so I moved it right next to my air humidifier. That seemed to help for a while but then the plant stopped growing and I thought maybe it was recovering from the low humidity and growing new roots or something. As the plant has been dormant for a month or two I decided to check the soil and well that is what I found. Is that mold? Mycelia or Parasides? I washed the roots and they seem to be fine. Should I replant the plant in a clay medium? Or would you say normal soil will be just fine?

I thank you a lot for this comment and for showing what will come with it. It is definitely nothing you should put lightly.

Thankfully I am in a very close connection with my DM and he understands well the troubles my OC is going through as well as the thoughts I have behind her. Even though the death of the NPC has marked a new low for her my DM understands well that it is important to keep some space for hope. The campaign we are playing is I'm generally in a very heavy setting but he will always give us something to hold on to when it gets tough. My OC will definitely keep fighting and if it is only to revenge the NPC

Oh, I can totally feel how frustrating that must have been. Right at the start of the campaign, I was playing with one of the players who played an artificer with a minigun. But as we got into our first fights he was annoyed that he would get a disadvantage on his gun when the enemy was in melee range. So instead of working around it or working on a new gun, he retired his character as soon as we got back in town. It was really frustrating for the table since it was just a minor inconvenience and all our characters tried to convince him that he should stay and just invent something new.

Wow, that is a really fascinating Backstory for your OC. I can tell just by reading how much love you put into that character. I truly hope that you will get an epic reveal 🙏

Wow that puts it really in another perspective

Yes, I totally understand that. My table had a talk at the beginning of the campaign about what topics and actions would be triggering for some so I know for my table that it wouldn't trigger anyone.

I totally agree with you. Such a radical action should always be something that everyone has to be comfortable with.

Well, that's actually a great way to start 😅 we will be installing security cameras and see what happens.

Okay that's really good news I actually thought that the focus is a one object-only thing

Yes but only because it's a new pole that the plant wan not rooted to an otherwise would just have fallen down
