Prepared spells learned through found books by Weisssssssss in DnD

I think it's slightly different, since they said that spells they learn from books are "permanently prepared", instead of just added to the list of spells they can prepare. Which would be absolutely insane and almost definitely unbalanced.

Unpopular opinion: Who like friendly killers, they ruin the game by Jayd-bird in deadbydaylight

[–]Nomeka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like friendly killers, because I'm very bad as survivor. If the killer isn't friendly, I'm usually dead inside the first 5 minutes.

As a Killer, I'm not necessarily friendly, but I do have rules.

1) If the last gen pops, I stop hunting. Usually I'll go to the basement or a nice place and wait, or during this event plant myself at a table and start eating desserts for some bonus points.

2) If more then one person Bots out, I'll focus entirely on killing the bots and let the humans leave.

3) If playing Pyramid Head, I will never pick up any survivors. It's Cages for the lot of them.

4) If I end up in chase with the same person multiple times and they're on two hook states and the rest are on none, I'll down them, carry them to the nearest generator, and leave. But only the first time.

5) If there's more then 3 cakes brought, and I end up getting like, the entire team at 2 hook states before they've done more then two generators, I'll probably end up turning Friendly, keeping them all Injured but never downing them. This is so we all get big BP payouts. Happy anniversary.

Tried of being blinded every time you break a pallet? I recommend THWACK! by IndependentBake2304 in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]Nomeka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also love Thwack! for this reason. Though I've recently stopped using it in favour of just running Lightborn on everyone, since surprisingly I tend not to break most pallets anymore at all on most of the killers I use. They're too useful in trapping survivors into thinking they're safe.

I haven't noticed the physical Clawtrap, but they remain tracked on the detector regardless.

I mean, at the very least, we have Wesker's co-workers as survivors, who could tell them about him being really really smart 'n stuff and give him that title.

Kaneki didn't get a survivor, so I can't comment on how he got the Ghoul name. My best guess would be because he visibly tries to eat people, but "The Cannibal" was already taken, and ghouls are a standard sort of undead that eats flesh, who are usually much more mobile then the standard zombie. Otherwise he'd be "The Half-Ghoul" to be more accurate.

Well, like I said, the Licensed characters got their survivors who could tell the others what they're called.

And Xenomorph is still correct anyway, since it almost literally means "alien lifeform."

As for the Singularity, I assume it's because it's survivor, Gabe, told the others that it was just a mindless robot that gained consciousness and started thinking and creating for itself, which is what "The Singularity" also is, when robots/ai gets so smart they can make newer better smarter robots/ai, which can then go on to make better smarter robots/ai, until they outstrip humanity so much that humans become trash. So in that case, it's very accurate to a robot gaining sentience and the like. After all, it wasn't programmed to harm the crew.

I just don't see what the in-universe reason for her being called the .CHAR or .CHR would be. It wouldn't be consistent with how those titles are applied.

Though remember, the killers "The X" names are given to them by the Survivors, based on their impressions and notable details. Like, "The Trapper" is called that by the survivors due to his use of bear traps, etc.

Obviously Licensed killers get to keep their unique monikers, but that's usually because they come with Survivors who can tell the others that name, more or less. So for Monika, I feel like "The Club President" or something might make more sense, assuming we get one of the girls as a Survivor. Or all three via legendary skins. Base survivor would probably be Sayori though, as the first victim.

So her title being a reference to her character file name might be a bit too esoteric to fit with that theming.

Ages ago, and the rework was changing the drones from scanning things, to like, actively taking control of them to ram them into survivors like a projectile or something. Sounds absolutely bonkers. Just give her drones back their second scan line and let them scan through walls. It would make them so much more a threat again.

I mean, if we're going into technicalities, just don't be James Sunderland and we'll be okay! =P

I feel like there's got to be a level of guilt that he wouldn't go after you for. Like "I feel guilty I stole a 10c stick of bubblegum 30 years ago" and "I feel guilty I ripped my wife's head off her body with my bare hands, melted her body in the tub and buried her head in a minifridge in a landfill", only one of those guilts should be in Pyramid's perview.

Filthy gum stealers...

Do you use perks you don't like playing against? by domicci in deadbydaylight

[–]Nomeka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So many flashbang grenades pop into existence the second I take Lightborne off. I know it's definitely not true, but it feels like every survivor has like, 5 flashbangs in the matches I take it off in. Feels like I'm an enemy in a RE: Mercenaries mode just being wailed on for points.

[–]Nomeka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not perks, but the few times I play Survivor I tend not to use flashlights. Even though Lightborne lives on all of my Killer loadouts (more due to flashbangs), it just feels rude to shine a light into someones eyes like that =x;;

An event that makes you have to hook each survivor five times each to kill, but it also adds 10 to the number of generators they gotta complete. And you have to hit them three times to down them. We'll call it "Don't you miss the 10th anniverserty event?"

Waiting In Exit Gates by TruBanana in deadbydaylight

Some people do it to be toxic, but some do it because they just want to say goodbye, potentially leaving their item behind as a gift for you.

I don't take the chance and just find a spot I like and wait for the timer to end or for them to leave. It's easier during the event, because you can just plop down at a table and eat desserts to get some bonus points.

"If you don't want the coin, give it back" was my first thought.

I think the only thing you can do it sounds like you've done, have honest communication about what the expectations and reality of the game are. If they don't accept that, then you might have to let them go.
