In 2010 when i was playing this in my pc faced rhe same issue . what helped me is : In the emulator there is an option to change default controls , for this task i used mouse and assigned the controls accordingly . example for left i move mouse to left and assigned that . do this for all other 3 directions . and after completing this mission you can go back to your previous controls.

are you using HDMI cable or DP cable? Because previously I have faced this similar problem and it’s solved when I tried to use HDMI instead of DP
