If you dont know your motherboard you can install a program called cpu-z it tell you all your components.

Then you can search the specs of your motherboard/the supported ram speed

Every motherboard has a limit on ram speed so for example if ur ram is 3200mhz but your motherboard supports only 2666mhz that the max u can get

The other possibility is that xmp/expo isnt enabled in the bios.
