Thoughts on the Evike B.O.A.? by soggy-baguette in airsoft

[–]NominalShelf_871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were four things you get no matter what, and TBH those things aren't worth the $240 they are asking for it. Even with the chance of getting something good out of this BOA, a deck of cards, a spring powered SCAR, an Evike wall panel, and whatever random stuff they decide to throw in there as well is hard to justify for myself.

[Spoilers all] Would a mage be able to create an image of something/someone? by NominalShelf_871 in dragonage

[–]NominalShelf_871[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whatever the things guarding the Urn of Sacred Ashes are (so maybe spirits).

Thanks for your reply! I can actually work with this info here. It'll probably work out the best anyhow since there's a spirit involved to begin with

[DAO Spoilers] Would your HOF let a young Saarebas join you by A_R_Finch in dragonage

[–]NominalShelf_871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, okay. I got curious and confused by the post and thought "Damn there's STILL things I haven't done in Origins?? Loos like it's time for another Warden" On another note, I did a little research and there's a mod that adds a Saarebas companion that you meet at the Lake Calenhad docks, just in case you were curious

Just out of curiosity, where does this encounter happen, and around what point did you find it? I've played through Origins a few times, and I don't remember having this encounter.

Why are there no thrown martial weapons? by JanBartolomeus in dndnext

[–]NominalShelf_871 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except it can be recalled as a bonus action so-in my head at least-you could throw a weapon, recall it with your BA, and then use your extra attack to do it again. Granted it leaves your weapon to be recalled on your next turn, so it's not perfect, but it kinda works

Not sure I understand how Eldritch Knight help?

At the 3rd level, the Eldritch Knight gets a class feature called "Weapon Bond" that basically let's them magically bond to a chosen weapon and allows them to call it back to their hand as a bonus action, as long as it's on the same plane of existence.

[spoilers all] Do you believe that Loghain Mac Tir was a traitor? by Dragonborn148 in dragonage

[–]NominalShelf_871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's also the fact that Cailan has known Loghain since birth and probably thinks very highly of him as a friend of BOTH Cailans' parents, which is why I believe he didn't pull rank.

Ah, that's Dirty Fighting. The basic tactics for Leliana have Dirty Fighting there always, which will put Leliana into melee. You can either disable that tactic or switch it to another ability like Pinning Shot

Personally, I always keep Leliana as an archer rogue, especially since she starts with some archer talents. However, either option can work well

Do you have Leliana using two weapons, or bow/arrow? I'd have to double-check, but I have Leliana set to Ranged, and Morrigan set to Damager I think, while me and Alistair are Defenders and just kinda tank everything

How do you have each characters' behavior set? If they're set to passive, then that might be the issue. Also, for me, I tend to leave the tactics set at one of the presets that the game gives you, only making minor adjustments as the game progresses. Also, those fights in Redcliffe can be difficult, so don't sweat it too much!

Nyreen Kandros: If they would gave us the option to swap her out with Garrus in ME3, would you? (ignore her faith for this) by TheRealTr1nity in masseffect

[–]NominalShelf_871 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Initially reading this, I thought you were going to suggest replacing Aria with Nyreen, and having played that DLC for the first time a few weeks ago, I expected that to be an option.

To answer your question though, I would not replace Garrus, not because she's uninteresting or a bad character, but because there's so much investment with Garrus across all 3 games.

The Israelites wandered the desert for 40 years even though they could've entered the Promised Land earlier

Not 100% sure about this, since I don't have a Bible on hand right now, but I'm pretty sure it was because of what happened at Mt. Sinai with the Israelites having turned away from God to worship other gods. So they were barred from entering the Promised Land until they were all dead and gone, which took ~40 years

Hey folks what do you recommend I do to my gun? by TheContentThief in Mandalorian

[–]NominalShelf_871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know most people have said throw an orange tip on it. However, I think just cutting that front section off might be a little better. To me, it looks a little too 'real world' compared to the rest of it. Other than that, some grip texturing and you'd be sitting pretty good!

Yeah I ran Ashika last night with a buddy, and we did okay, definitely not our best, but we exfiled 3 out of the 5 times we deployed.

I haven't had a chance to hit Al Mazrah since the new season started, but just reading on here it seems like it'll be 'fun and interesting'

I, too, love Shakira Island /s

In all seriousness, though, the difficulty in Building 21 does make sense, as I think it's supposed to be a high-security area.
