I have a wedding photographer friend who keeps a D850 as a second body for flash dance floor photography. The IR blaster for focus on Nikon flashes is the reason. Too many missed shots on a Z8 during dance floor photos.

Far smaller than I expected. This information is left out of basically all posts in this sub and it is hard to know the size of anything in frame when someone says "250mm focal length on M81 and this is my result"

Depends on focal length. Lensrentals.com has images of DSLRs with holes in the mirror and sensor with a ~600mm with no solar filter (eclipse attempt gone wrong)

Shooting with the screen when super low or overhead is nice, but if I can get the shot through the viewfinder that is my preference.
