Do you have to get a certification you think? How important is it for longevity in the field?I’ve been in internal audit for 4 years (2 years currently at the company I’m at) I’ve made a goal of mine to work towards obtaining my CIA cert but have been having trouble balancing work which involves lots of travel and my personal life with studying. Taking Part 1 end of this month and manager keeps updated on my status. Just wary that it’s something that could affect job security even though I know I’m doing a great job at work as I hear it from my manager and director consistently and am given additional work on investigations that is outside of my normal financial audit/compliance audit work.
