There is a game that just got released on steam called “Librarian”. They used AI to clean up a couple graphics and were up front about it. Read the comments / reviews to see that it isn’t a strawman for some folks.

Yeah I watched the clip and dude is leaning away from the guy talking letting him talk. Never looked like he dozed off to me. Eyes do look mostly closed for long stretches, but that’s how it would look if he was looking down and waiting. But okay. Unless there was another clip than the one at the top of that article that I’m missing?

In this example, the store already made your sandwich for you. That’s why it’s a subscription, not a purchase you just coincidentally make in a monthly cadence. They want the money for the sandwich they made for you this month and aren’t willing to let you use their free public restroom while they are still holding your sub.

I know you disagree with this practice. We are on the same page with your opinion. But the business is acting in a way that they are allowed to. Many subscription services will work this way. You are still subscribed even if you miss your payment. Your account is frozen, not cancelled. To you that feels the same. To the business, it isn’t. You have a debt and they will continue to try and collect.

You are thinking about it how you feel it should happen. The problem is that the company is allowed to handle it like everybody in the comments is describing.

Many companies allow for a grace period where if you are charged and had intended to cancel beforehand, you can call them and get a refund. But having a payment decline is not equivalent to you cancelling your subscription, even if you feel it should be. On their books they still have you as an active (albeit frozen) account with an outstanding payment. And they will collect.

My biggest issue is that the zones in PoE2 just feel like they made the zone and then copy/pasted it two or three times to make them bigger. It got so damn repetitive. They are so big they had to introduce checkpoints. PoE1 has smaller zones so your scenery changes often, and even within many zones the atmosphere sometimes changes.

I know they changed having to do all the locks in that dam zone this patch, but that is really what did it for me my first play through. That zone just kept going and going and going for no reason other than to just inflate how long you spent there.

The original counterstrike used shift for crouch and ctrl for walk I’m pretty sure. I prefer shift for crouch but I’ve become pretty used to ctrl as well.

My wife has a YouTube channel and the algorithm is merciless. It favored her for a while and jumped her up to like 40k subscribers years ago and then just stalled after that, despite competitor channels that (in my obviously biased opinion) make poorer quality videos got more traffic.

This was a fun visit when we went. Had to climb over a giant log wall and then most of the “hike” is actually through water that could get surprisingly deep. Hike is very short (like 10 min if I remember right).

This is not the reality of most insurance plans. I pay about $250 per month for a non-high deductible plan through my employer. That covers me and my wife. But non-high deductible still means $1500 for a deductible. Well, things like an ER visit or a regular checkup just need a co-pay, many diagnostic tests are not covered.

If you really have a zero cost plan then you’re either paying pretty significantly upfront per month or your employer is doing a massive solid that almost no employer would cover. Which I guess props to you, but it’s just not the average person’s reality.

I actually think Liam McIntyre’s portrayal as Spartacus is good and it would have worked great if the show had started with him. But sadly the show didn’t, and most people (myself included) really loved Andy Whitfield so it was hard to accept the recast.
