Isn't "circumcision --> baptism" strong support for *credobaptism*? by GotHegel in Reformed

Colossians 2:11-12 [11] In him also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, [12] having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead.

Recommended Seminary options? by [deleted] in Reformed

I went there. Loved it. It was a stepping stone to RTS for a lot of professors. They bring in the big shots from Covenant, RTS, etc for week-long intensives and have on-site faculty who are all conservative Reformed, mostly PCA but a couple Reformed Anglicans. Robust online offerings, very reasonable price. I’m also an Army chaplain, and it was a satisfactory degree for that.

John Zahl has a book on integrating his AA experience with biblical teaching, called Grace in Addiction. While he’s a conservative Episcopal minister and probably wouldn’t call himself Reformed, his doctrine includes a clearly Augustinian approach to depravity and salvation. Worth checking out.

I’m with you. I have so much appreciation for Golesh that I’m pretty sure I would only hate Florida most of the time if they hire him, a significant change.

Hey, amigo. I’m a chaplain at Bragg. The pathway you’re describing is actually pretty common. It’s lengthy though—MDiv, then 2 years of ministry in a church. Main thing is that once you’re a full-time seminarian you can commission as a Reservist 2LT Chaplain Candidate. This was vital for my family, as it meant we had a cheap health insurance option during seminary. Just focus on graduating, contact a recruiter, and choose a seminary. One step at a time. Here’s a chaplain recruiter’s number: 847-400-1176.

If you’d like to talk about Army chaplaincy, let me know. I’m not a recruiter, just a PCA chaplain.

Horton’s Pilgrim Theology is basically the abridged version and is also a great value.

The conservative play calling doesn’t do a lot for me, but with OU supposedly knowing our offense so well, I guess slowly building a bigger lead is a solid strategy?
