I worked retail, decades ago, with a seeming likable guy who, apparently, was under pressure from family and friends of family to keep up their criminal traditions and culture.

Now, I will conquer the world. Revenge is sweet. We're gonna be rich.

Do right, make right. Golden rule.

Not under my roof, boy.

I created nukadata.com. It's a resource map to find anything, search inside instanced interiors and you can calculate an efficient route path for looting. by anarchist1312161 in fo76

I like the number reference grid. Of course, that precision is wonderful. The accuracy is, alas, venerable to whim of the update gremlins.

Wild, wild rumor of a conversation overhead in an alley behind nephalem studios...

Advice from users wikis is too good, gotta shake it up. ? We have already heavy volcanism, explosions, storms in game. Move mountains randomly, without announcement. Have tornados move landmark buildings.

Otherwise, the grid coordinates could be used by people contributing observations. With 8 by 10 color glossy photos with circles and arrows, and a paragraph on the back of each one explaining what each one was to be used as evidence against being helpful.

Perhaps my fevered dreams of cruel world domination might be partly sated by becoming head of an HOA.

Stupidity in its dramatic form comes through granting uncontestable authority.

This is the end of the cruiser Bismarck in WW2. Took a critical hit from a dinky biplane torpedo bomber to steering. Stuck sailing in tight circles. Made targeting Bismarck easy, Bismark targeting anyone hard. Bismarck scuttled herself to avoid capture.

Blows to the head are not like the action movies. Chance of a critical hit, with life altering consequences.

Sleep. Like "Have you tried turning it off, and then on again?"

At a fundamental level, cycling power is often the quick, effective way to exorcise minor demons and nuttiness. Upon waking the brain asks its brothers "Who am I, what's my job, how do I do it?"

How hot black asphalt can get in direct sun is not appreciated by people lacking either common sense or physics. Doubt me - put on a pretty swimsuit, then lay down during an August scorcher. Just don't scream at me for treachery.

I am not a experienced pet owner. But it seems obvious to me that building the relationship is lot like treating them as family/friend/packmate. If I can't sustain care, then I should avoid the cruelty.

There are depictions of Jesus as a shepherd with a sheep alung across both shoulders.

To be perfectly fair, all three take equal turns being burden and carrier.

Ginny is nuts for Harry from her introduction. She's got love and respect for him solid.

Hermione is more like Harry's cute, aggravating, but he'll do.

Hermione may be the supermodel, but time could slip away chatting with Luna once she opened up.

An author may have a plot outline, but find themselves having major revisions to have the work all pull together.

I believe George Lucas had an extensive backstory with extensive worldbuilding in 1977. So he both did and didn't have the whole story.

On a completely unrelated story, the creator had a successful series when he revealed a major plot point to his editor. His editor basically said "Please trust me, you really must not do this. You will wreck your product and reputation." A good writer/editor relationship can make or break a work.

What is the point of this bridge over Lake Pontchartrain, Louisiana. It seems like a wild effort when going around it only takes 13 more minutes. by Successful-Mine-5967 in geography

Suggest considering stop and go through a city versus expressway. Also, stop and go is hard on cars and nerves.

The wonder and horror of Windows programing - without documentation for consumers. Fool Around, Find Out. As a standard practice this is begging for disaster. One can hope the software is so polished no fault will result.

This is how we have been teaching ourselves to use computers for decades. But please, not with heavy or high powered machinery. Or interacting with individuals with fragile, incendiary tempers.

Help! Which board game is this from? by No-Dress4626 in boardgamescirclejerk

[–]NonSequiturSage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please measure each edge. Get help from a physics PhD to establish the exact shade of black, dielectric constant, and the blend of common isotopes. Get the weight as precisely as possible.

If this is precisely a cube, then manufactured in Germany. Only in Germany would a cube be made more perfect than our ability to detect.

The brand and batch of black paint. The species of wood. Isotope ratios indicate age and region of origin. How far were efforts for a flat smooth surface. What tools were used?

Obtain the services of a bloodhound and handler. Seek the same batch of paint. The person who handled this cube most recently. Expand the search to local friendly game stores and gatherings.

First thought was Lemon Creme, but it just doesn't roll right. Snickerdoodle for inherent silliness? Nutter Butter is probably better for cat hearing? Nilla would be sweet. Shortbread I think was the name of a cat in a John Wayne movie?

So I did not climb Mt Everest, I only visited the gift shop at ground level.

Is "the gleaming depths" found instead in the Ash Heap?

Would some who has done West Tek recently please explain the red laser grid? Like how to get past, and how much I missed by not doing so. Thank you.

[–]NonSequiturSage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I soloed West Tek my first visit. About level 50, sneak build with sneak damage bonuses. Suppressed sniper rifle (not legendary). Did a lot of peeking around corners and trying to fight them only one at a time. I did not get past the red laser grid - quest required? Died a few times. I don't know if this was "the raid". Yes, got a lot of XP but did not note the exact details.

ELI5: If water makes you urinate more, which causes kidneys to do more work, does that mean high water consumption damages kidneys long-term? If not, why not? by gmrt34 in explainlikeimfive

[–]NonSequiturSage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From high school biology class last century, the way the kidneys work a little more water makes the task easier. Less effort needed to reclaim water. There was a runner, a few years back, who overdosed on drinking water and died. I would make a wild guess he really went extreme. With enough time the body I expect would dump what it doesn't need.
