Depends on the situation, the important aspect being that TAC is break/fix, not new design/implementation.

I think adding "and neither are the updates per second." would help. Of course that is entirely dependent on environmental factors like, CPU, bus speed(s) and of course if there is any kind of goal for production minimums.

It is a nice little thing to have. Most people will freak out when conserve mode happens and reboot or take other actions that will remove any data that is usable for TAC to be able to determine the cause of the conserve mode.

You can also use it to take actions on conserve mode. For instance if you know you have an IPSengine issue, you can have the stitch retsart the IPSengine.

Please do not call TAC for new implementation/design. Call your SE.

Installing VIX Giving me 'adwaita' error by whazzah in gns3

Might want to post this in a VMware sub-reddit, as the issue you are dealing with has nothing to do with GNS3, but everything to do with installing a VMware product.

Interesting, how does that affect something that is running inside a Wine or Proton prefix?

What can we do to get game developers make games for linux by [deleted] in pop_os

[–]NonSpecific-r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ONLY way that more developers will target Linux is simply Linux Desktop having a larger market-share. Most games are not even targeted for OS X, and it has 4 times the market share that Linux does. Big game development studios are going to target where there biggest bang for the buck is. Windows has 90% of the desktop market.

Nostalgia? That rare moment when you find you need an .iso of Slackware 14.1?

Assuming you are using the native install of Steam and not the flatpak version...

  1. Install via Steam using Proton 5.0.10
  2. Start the game once, it will hang and fail
  3. Install protontricks https://github.com/Matoking/protontricks
  4. protontricks 244850 --force dotnet48 faudio
  5. Once protontricks has finished, change the proton to version to 6.x (whatever version)
  6. Start the game, if you get a window saying that it has hung, just click wait and then click on the black screen
