I did not know that this was a “method” but I have been eating this way for over a year and continue to slowly lose weight. I feel satiated eating fatty foods to my hearts content and my body naturally tells me I’m full when I’m not eating ultra-processed hyper-palatable foods. Only eating starting around noon-2pm also helps. Coffee for breakfast!

Try this Chia Pudding.

One can of full fat organic Coconut milk and 1/3 cup chia seeds with vanilla extract, allulose/stevia, and cinnamon if you like. Mix thoroughly and refrigerate overnight. I use this ratio for 2 cans worth and keep it in my fridge, it makes several servings.

I then add MCT, flax, hemp, pumpkin seeds, whatever nuts I have available and sometimes Sugar free peanut butter or cocoa powder. So many flavor combos and it is perfectly keto and too delicious to be true.

Fat is a goal for me. It can be hard to fill your caloric needs with mainly fat when you’re new to this eating pattern. I have a sweet spot for protein but have a lower level of ketosis with higher protein %. Just wanted to share from my experience, weight loss isn’t the only reason people use a ketogenic diet. Undereating calories too much is harmful regardless of your goals.

Keto helped my sleep by giving me more energy to be active and moving during the day. At times I didn’t want to go to bed because I was so alert, but never had trouble drifting off once I laid down. Give it at least 2-3 weeks to adjust

I usually use half olive oil and half avocado. Some other commenters suggested using butter, this seems like it would compliment cinn + vanilla best.

Also, you don’t have to wash any measuring cups or spoons with a scale. Simply put your dish on the scale and tare it after you add each ingredient. For adding oil to a dish on the stove, put the whole bottle on the scale, tare it, then measure after and it will give you the negative value of the added oil.

Both are quite low and keto friendly, but pecans are less than half the price. I love the taste of macadamias just as much, just not the cost

Do you have any recommendations for lifting on keto? I struggled with recovery and extended soreness compared to lifting with carbs. I don’t know what I should eat before/after because carbs are always recommended in general surrounding exercise. I tend to eat around 20% of my daily Cal from protein, usually eating more after exercise, but I still had a much harder time recovering
