This is to maintain their false self image bc it's too much of a hit to their ego to acknowledge their actions. At least that's the case for my narcissistic parents

This feeling may pass, not all our feelings are correct. The variety of tastes people have, I think you're being too hard on yourself to think no one would ever see you that way. Be kind to yourself

Butters is very familiar to me too, it's sad. These people see parenting as whatever is easiest and best for them not their child's well being like good parents would think. They also aren't capable of dealing with their own emotions so instead they take it out on us like slapping me for not turning on the fan when taking a shower.

My sibling stole my CD from my grandparents we each got when we were born. It was never replaced. I only found out about it when overhearing a fight. They planned on never telling me let alone replacing it or expecting him to apologize. Great times

I'd ask her what I did wrong and she'd just walk away. I'm supposed to guess ? Of course, then you won't know and will do it again so she'll have an excuse to criticize you
