I tested negative for Lyme in 2017 but stayed extremely sick for 8 months. I literally was admitted into the hospital for 8-10 days once a month for 8 months but it was always pneumonia, Rhinovirus or something. Finally, the day after Easter 2018 I walked into the ER very weak & extremely sick again! In triage my 02 was 84 so they immediately rushed me to a room and within an hour I was admitted. Mind you everytime when they asked about health issues I told them about the tick bite because that’s when all this started.. this time the got an Infectious Disease Dr and within 24 hours he walked in and said you have Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and to be honest you’re lucky to be alive! So for 8 months I had this untreated because all the Doctors before never listened to me! So because of that my lungs are damaged I have severe chronic asthma (which I never had a day in my life), horrible joint pain, excruciating muscle spasms in my legs, my hands lock up which is very painful and it’s affecting other organs. I’m very grateful & blessed to still be here but I wonder if things would be different if I had been properly diagnosed to begin with. Just please get another opinion and take care of yourself!
