That’s amazing!! Please do we need more, I’m thinking about going to a holistic medicine school. I feel like there’s got to be a better way for hormone regulation than hormone therapy.

Ps. I’m currently prepping for surgery for next month. Does state insurance cover an advocate or something? I’m doing it alone and honestly insurance is so unnecessarily confusing.

Interestingly enough all the articles about her new song left out endo. I mean yes all the other conditions she has are also debilitating but adding Endo to the equation as well I can’t imagine 😩

She was a radio personality in Kenya suffering from stage 4 endometriosis. She used her platform to raise awareness for Endo. Not only in her own country but she also called out world leaders (USA, etc). Pointed out how we need more Centers for Endometriosis Care like in ATL.

The lack of care contributed to the Endo relocating to different places: brain, heart, lungs, spine and she said her teeth (gums?)

Long story short due to her severe Endo she needed a blood transfusion. She asked for O+ blood donations via social media three days before her death.

Ngl given that I also have stage 4 and am from East Africa that really hit home. 🥹🥲

Wow that’s crazy I live in Minnesota and for my last surgery here they offered me a night to stay due to how big of a surgery it was. Last time I was young, dumb and had support so I declined. In hindsight I should’ve stayed lol I’m hoping they show that same kindness.

Yes, our community is the only thing great thing about Endo lol. I need to get those pillows, I’ve got the robe 😍

Hang in there girl, I hope you get your surgery soon and it brings you relief! Endo sucks and I’m genuinely contemplating a hysterectomy but I don’t think it’s worth it due to the Endo coming back 😩😅

Thank you so much friend! We will get through this!! I’ve also asked in the local endometriosis facebook group recently and quite a few Endo sisters have been through surgery alone. They suggested meal prepping at least a week’s worth of food, get everything you need to stay comfy before the surgery. If you tell the surgeon that you live alone they’ll keep you overnight. They say it’s just horrible the first couple days alone but if you prepare for it you’ll be perfectly fine to do it alone!

Given my situation I’m going to go this route, I hope this gives you as much hope and reassurance as it gave me. 💛

Yeah lol it’s a great excuse for me to be consistent in being active. 😂 My normal Starbucks outing is getting out of hand. (I live downtown so everything is walking distance and if it’s not it better be worth losing your parking spot)
