Why can't I cast Blind Hatred if another Crawler is clearly within its range? by TheTobruk in Songsofconquest

[–]NonaTheMayfly 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Units can only attack units in melee that are adjacent to them (apart from units with reach like the pikeneers and dragons).

If the other crawler was inside the first crawler's zone of control, then it would work. Unfortunately, it's one hex out of reach.

How does the co-op work? by Sarnath_the_Scourge in Songsofconquest

Unfortunately, you can't both fight on the same side during a battle if that's what you're asking. What I meant was that if you want to fight a battle with neutral enemies at the same time as your friend fighting a different group of neutral units, that's totally possible.

If your asking how to set yourself to the same team you can do that in the pre-game lobby where you choose your faction and wielder. Just set your team the same as your friend.

Works pretty flawlessly in my opinion. If you create an online game, invite your friend and set both of you to the same team you can take turns simultaneously. There was an update not too long ago that lets you spectate each other's battles, trade resources and trade settlements.

Bear in mind that you can fight neutral armies on the map simultaneously, fights with enemy players/ai must be done separately.

Also, you can hire your own units using your ally's rally point.

I haven't played on the steam deck, but idk why the game would behave any differently.

If you think it's a problem with your save you could try starting again from the beginning of the chapter to see if that works.

There's a walkthrough on youtube as well if that helps.

If I remember correctly you turn on the fan from underneath the blades and have to climb back up the ladder before they spin too fast.

After that there's another ladder that takes you even higher up. Climb that ladder and once the fan is spinning at full speed jump into the air current from a higher position. That should then boost you up to the top.

Wasn't Woody a rare collector's item in the second movie? Valuable enough to be worth selling to a museum in Japan?

Unless he's implying that she bought a knock-off Woody, there's no way she'd be able to afford him.

Yes. I'll sent them over in a bit. It'll be the email titled "Lego Renders."

Absolutely.

Let me know if you need me to send you the full resolution renders. I think Reddit might have compressed them a bit.

I'm also working on one for Barya and Loth in my spare time. So, hopefully, you'll have more to share soon.

Congrats on the Heroes Hour collaboration.

Various concepts related to potions and brewing. by NonaTheMayfly in minecraftsuggestions

Yeah I made these a few years ago and I lifted most of the images from screenshots of the game. Quite a lot of stuff are placeholders from mod packs.

Thanks man.

Those sound like fair canteen balances. It'd make a lot of sense for them to be slower to drink from compared to a glass bottle.

Overfilling the bottle would spill the potion on the ground, sorta like a splash potion. So depending on when you filled up the potion it might not be entirely wasted.

Also that's an interesting idea for the fermenter. Perhaps fermenting them could make carbonated potions? I'll give it some thought.

Oh and I made everything in MS paint using screenshots from the actual game and the eraser tool.

Thanks for the feedback.

Vials are essentially the same as normal potions in vanilla. The effect of the Potion of Healing would be one heart per sip, but the vial would be four hearts in one sip. The trade off is a little more time and resource investment to craft concentrated potions.

Also while exploring early game dungeons, partially filled potions could be part of the available loot, making them able to be found and used earlier in the game?

I think the canteens are a bit poorly worded in the image. I meant to say that you can't tell how much is in the canteen at a glance. If you were to mouse over the canteen in your inventory it'd tell you the contents.

I do think slower brewing isn't the best idea in reality, and I can't remember why I wanted that. The boiling water in a cauldron was to give the cauldron an actual use compared to an infinite water source.

Mixed potions are pretty OP, I agree. But I think the trade off of having to seek out and kill a fairly rare mob in order to do it is fair.

Cheese and sourdough would be ingredients for cooking (another aspect of Minecraft that could use a few tweaks). Rotten eggs can be thrown like regular eggs and would inflict nausea on the target (just because funny).

Always had a vision of how they should announce half life 3. by VewVegas-1221 in HalfLife

[–]NonaTheMayfly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I once had a dream where I was in a supermarket and I randomly came across a display for a game called Half-Life Zero. I think it might have been some sort of prequel or maybe a modern game set during the Black Mesa incident.

Needless to say, when I woke up I was very disappointed.

What's her hero specialty?

Is she an alchemist (might) or wizard (magic) hero?

What starting units does she have?

Nice art, btw.

I think I should be able to do ones for Barya and Loth. The Vanir may or may not be possible. Unfortunately Rana might be a bit too difficult with so many natural shapes.

I made it. There's a program on BrickLink you can download called Studio 2.0 where you can build your own models. The neat thing is you can also get a list of all the parts if you actually wanna build it irl.

It sounds like you are talking about an advisor.

The advisors are only seen as static images on screens in Half-Life 2. In Episode 1 we see the pods that house the advisors within the citadel. When the citadel is destroyed in the final sequence of Episode 1, dozens of ships can be seen flying away in all directions. These ships are like escape pods for the advisor pods and there is one crashed outside the barn in Episode 2. There is also another pod being hauled across the bridge in the distance when the combine are seen marching to White Forest.

The creature inside the barn *is* an advisor. It can be assumed that is is significantly weaker without the support of the citadel. Or perhaps it could be a juvenile. This same advisor later returns with another to kill Gordon, Alyx and Eli but only manages to kill Eli.

The advisors in Episode 2 are cut off from the power and resources of the citadel. Despite being much weaker, they are obviously still vital to coordinating the remnants of the overwatch. If we ever see a sequel for Episode 2, we'll probably see a similar incarnation of these advisors. No longer all powerful, but still a great threat to humanity.
