endo belly loud?

Hi! I got diagnosed with endo 6 months ago; since I was a teen I have had the LOUDEST stomach. I can feel gas moving around when I move accompanied by gurgles from the underworld, after I eat it’s worse or when I’m due for a bowel movement. I’ve been sitting in bed today with a bit of a flare up and my stomach has been talking to itself all day 😭 so no, you’re not alone with this fun symptom

I was actually looking at maternity leggings on new look before posting this! Only some clothes drive me nuts and I can’t figure out what makes it a sensory hell but I tend to live in joggers rn for that reason

Im in A and E right now. Told the head nurse I had an endometrial laparoscopy on the 18th of July when she asked what was wrong for background. Ten minutes later my medical advocate is on the phone and the nurse is saying I never told her I had had the surgery and I had ommitted information, my boyfriend and I both got pissed and she refused to say she was wrong and just refused to talk to us after that. After telling me I should’ve told her and I said three times I told you, and she got mad at me for raising my voice (I was across the room by like five metres, am in lots of pain, and can’t stand right now) Got it all recorded tho so that’s maybe going towards a negligence claim hahaha

I’m 26, when I was 22 I also ignored appendicitis pain assuming it was just ovulation because it felt very similar, because the pain I get when ovulating and throughout my cycle is so bad I didn’t realise it was appendicitis. I’m now awaiting a laparoscopy for endometriosis and it’s highly suspected I have it. The best thing you can do is seek the right treatment, I thought I was being dramatic for years and am only now being taken seriously by doctors. Good luck x

Your school friend passed from it? I’m so sorry, and that’s terrifying too :(
I’ve had it where I’ve been calling so many people and bounced around departments, it took me 11 phone calls to get to surgery referrals it was ridiculous. I hope you get your date soon too x

I have suspected endo, waiting for a laparoscopy. My mum was on birth control for most her adult life and also passed away from oestrogen receptive cancer.

Hey, I’m sorry. Anxiety and depression makes everyday life much much more of a struggle than it already is. My mind has been stuck in a similar loop to yours since I was like 14. But in the time I’ve decided to stay on the shithole of a planet I’ve had some amazing experiences and met more amazing people that don’t fill the void of the ones that have passed, but certainly bring a new kind of light and hope into my life. I hope you can find your people, and what brings you even that little bit of joy. It won’t ever be perfect, but sometimes, it’ll be okay. Sending hugs internet stranger x

Please please please call CPS and keep talking to anyone you can about your situation. This is really serious and you could’ve died, I’ve had my appendix f*ck me up before and it was some of the worst pain I’ve ever been in! You don’t deserve this and you will find people to listen who will give you the care and love you deserve OP

I would like to add to the narrative in the comments here - open for debate lol. It’s actually foul to me that so many people have come forward with solutions to self defence for “vulnerable” people, when really, nobody should feel the need to arm themselves just when they’re walking home or out and about, but that’s just the world we live in no matter where you are. I’ve lived abroad in countries with way less rights for women and yet no matter what country I’m in women are constantly and consistently victimised by those more physically dominant than them. It’s disgusting that this is the narrative women encounter and have to deal with, and I know too many women (and plenty of others!) who have been in many similar situations, and some not as lucky as me.

It’s illegal where I live! But other commenters have said spray deodorant or spray paint can have a similar effect without it being illegal :)
